The Ire of Fire Created by Felipe dos and Debo37 Gametypes Supported: Free-For-All slayer Team Slayer One Flag One Bomb Territories Evenball Juggernaut Recommended Players: 4 - 12 The Ire of Fire is an aesthetic map at heart, seeing as its main feature is an enormous dragon that looms over the open area of foundry. Despite this major aesthetic creation, The Ire of Fire is amazingly playable and excels at one-sided gametypes, despite being set-up for all default gametypes, as well as the custom Evenball gametype. The body of the dragon is entirely explorable - you are able to climb up through either its hand, or enter at its neck and make your way up (via a grav-lift) to the mouth of the beast. This is the location for the Score/Capture point in most one-sided games, and also acts as a great vantage point in slayer games. Opposite the dragon is a large wall that acts as the dividing line between the attackers and the defenders bases. On one side is the dragon. On the other side, in the back area of foundry, is a pair of small bases that contain attacker spawns and also some basic weapon spawns. This map is quite an amazing piece of forge. Creating a map that is primarily aesthetic but still entirely playable is an unbelievably tough undertaking, and to have succeeded like the Ire of Fire has done is a great achievement for Felipe dos and Debo37. Cool! This got featured! I figured it would've some time. The dragon is a beastly aesthetic (best dragon I've seen made), and Felipe and Debo did a really awesome job with it. Good job you two. ~And it's actually a comp. map which makes it x10 more cooler. (This is also funny, because I was just thinking if I would ever get first post on a featured map while the forgehub page was loading lawlz, but yeah, like I said cool map)
I'm glad to see another aesthetic map being featured, but I remember looking around this alot in the past and agreeing that it would indeed work very well for competitive or casual games. The larger of the two hands really grabbed me *Groucho Marx eyebrows*, and the time and effort thats gone into making this map look fantastic is clear. But what really surprised me was how easy it is to move around, something that isn't that common in aesthetic maps and helps to increase this maps playability alot. The effort put into the rest of the map is also highly beneficial, and its far from a single focal peice without any other geometry to back it up. You may stand in awe and look at the beast, but you'll likely be playing an actual game on this and so you might wana take a glance at the other players from time to time. Congrats to both of you, and special congratulations to Debo on gaining Premium, both are well deserved.
Best playable aesthetic map since End of the Line. That's some damn good company, my friend. Well done. This is truly a work of forge art. Most can only dream about half of the creativity and technical skills you've implemented on Ire of Fire. Great job, Felipe Dos!
wow what can i say this map is awesome. but me personally i think the double box walls could use more interlocking which is making me rate it a 3/5
yea its pretty sick and i love the red tongue made out of sign b`s thats preety cool been a while since a asthetic map has gotten featured.
i dont get it. they should post more pics. all i see is a dragon and a wall corner. i will not dowload. it seems to be below many other featured maps.
had you actually read the post, rather than just mindlessly scanning a pic or two, youd notice the link to the original thread...which has more pictures and words than you could ever dream of.
i saw this map a long long time ago and thought of it as merely an aesthetic map until i read the post. and it looked really good. i'm glad this got featured. but i agree about the wall. it does need some cleanin up
I remember this when it got posted, I rated it 5 stars but I did'nt download because, Sadly, Its not my type of map. But it's still really cool though. It must have taken the guy ages to get everything so perfect.
When I first played on this map I knew it had some potential. I thought the map looked like a decent size and the dragon was amazing so I D/Led. I played 1 side objectives, juggernaut, etc. From looking at the pictures on the original thread I thought the double box walls were the boundaries of the map, but you actually made them into a tower from which you can shoot from. This is a great map, a wisely chosen feature. Good job felipe and debo. 5/5.
hey guys congrats once again, looks like you took the DTL way of forging, build an awesome ass center asthetic peice, and then build a map around it. regardless it is a great map...=)! Approved by sharp and ill make insane do it too!
great job felipe and debo, i actually downloaded this map from you a few months back, when it was a first release, so im a supporter from the start. again, nice job with this, its such an aesthetic peice of work that makes it amazing. good job.
what took this map so long to get featured? This map is near perfect because it has all of the amazing quality of a aesthetic map and it plays well as a competitive map.
This is a very beautiful map, congrats on becoming a premium Debo! I knew it would happen sooner or later! Tell your friend to keep cranking out these wonderful aesthetics!
I havn't really ever enjoyed aesthetic maps, but this one is unique and playable. Some maps are just for looks, but his map uses cover, and structure, so therefore, I applaud *clap* Very nicely done. Well worth the feature.
