The Great Misdirect

    The Great Misdirect is an Invasion map that derived its name from an amazing album by "Between the Buried and Me", and has multiple points of inspiration from the album's cover art, and various areas from Halo 2 and Halo: ODST's New Mombassa. In fact, the final phase's area to defend the core will be a remake/reimagination of the ODST Firefight map, Last Exit, or the end of Coastal Highway, take your pick.

    Needless to say, but the map is incomplete. I have only managed to create the above picture so far of this remake, but if that was all I had done, I wouldn't be posting this would I?

    If you follow the road that leads to the "Last Exit", you will be at the face of the first phase, the gate.

    Elites will most likely spawn up top for a quick spawn, and use the ODST Firefight initial spawn as a back spawn with vehicles, like Ghosts.

    I got the inspiration from the underground tunnel scenario from Halo 2's Outskirts originally to start this map, and the idea for a "Last Exit" remake derived from that. The tunnel now houses the backspawn, initial spawn, and phase one spawn, as well as a slew of vehicles.

    Once I finish the "Last Exit" area, it's on to spawns, weapons, vehicles and aesthetics, and my goal here is to get people interested to test this out, as well as some pre-production words of advice.

    Let me know when you get this ready for testing. I will have now problem with this because it looks like a different type of Invasion for me, hopefully you have enough materials to do what you need to.
