It's been four years, but I'm back. With me, I bring a completed Saw map that's been worked on for over a year. It has been designed, built, and play-tested by numerous volunteers. Very soon I'll be releasing Saw: Quarantine publicly, but I would first like to give my favorite Halo Website Forgehub a chance for it and it's members to do a final play-test. If you are interested, please leave a post as to why you believe you are qualified to test out this puzzle map, and you will be considered. Thank you for your time. Here's a preview of how the puzzle begins, keep in mind that all that is explain is completely playable. Why are they attacking us? What do we have that they could possibly want? We're a prison, not a storage facility. Aside from that, what in the hell are the Covenant doing here? Before the watchman had a chance to answer any of the questions haunting his mind, he was surrounded with the piercing sounds of sirens and falling debris. He had to leave, now. As he reached for the nearest jet-pack, a large explosion occurred, cracking the space station and depressurizing the entire area. With oxygen levels low and the station falling apart, he took little time to think before initiating the jet-pack and heading upwards, towards the only oxygenated area left in the station...
I would love to test this map. I'm a huge fan of jump, race, maze, and puzzle maps, especially when they're all combined! I'm pretty good at puzzle maps but I've never done any formal testing. I guess that wouldn't make me "qualified" but I'd love the chance to test it none the less, so If you have an extra slot when you do this, please consider me
Pardon me if i am out of line in saying this, but why should people have to "qualify" to do you a favor? I would think that you should accept all play tests because even "inexperienced" map testers can find problems...i just find it odd that people should "qualify" to test your map.
You have a very valid point Waterfall, and I agree with you to an extent. If this were any other type of map, I'd completely agree. However, for a person who has never played a Halo puzzle before, I would have to personally sit on the map with them for hours, or walk them through it myself. I've had so many instances where the person is no longer testing my map, but I'm simply walking them through every puzzle. I need true testing, not just walk throughs. That's why I'm hoping for people with experience, for timely, well-executed testing.
