Tz and I got the weekly done on Monday. The ONLY difficult part about it is the hospital. Everything else is just as easy as if it were on normal.
When my girlfriend and I were in the hospital, something strange happened. The jetpack elites never made their way downstairs and I think it's because by the time the beacon exploded, she was over halfway towards the spiral stairway. The elite at the bottom was difficult, but manageable if you have one person distract the elite and go left right away... then you swing around right with a shotgun and just double team him with dropshields, melees, grenades, and shotgun/plasma weapons. The jetpack elites were stuck in the stairwell and were MUCH easier to deal with. They all hovered by the ramp leading to the 3rd level. We both had dropshields so she'd be at the bottom of the ramp and drop shield, I'd jump and fire at them and one would focus on me and go halfway down the ramp and my girlfriend would just assassinate him... then I'd drop shield so my girlfriend would have someplace to recover and hide. We'd repeat this about 6-8 times and take out each jetpack elite one by one. So my suggestion is to have one person near the spiral staircase when the beacon is destroyed. Hopefully the jetpack elites will not make their way down and will be a million times easier to deal with when they can't jump back and forth into cover everytime their shields get low. Unfortunately I still haven't finished this challenge because my girlfriend's connection is shitty and always cuts out when we're about to enter Club Errera. Hopefully she's having her modem checked out soon and we'll be able to enjoy uninterrupted connections long enough to complete the challenge.
Does anyone want to help me get this week's challenge? It's beat a mission in 15 minutes on Heroic with Black Eye on. I thought I had a shot alone but it took me 10 minutes to get past the starting the gun on Sword Base.
Am I the only one that won't conform and do the LASO's? I just can't stand re doing campaign over and over (shoot me cade). I mean, it's good exp and all, but I just have no interest in that kind of thing. Daily challenges ftw. EDIT: 900[sup]th[/sup] post
Fixed. No, Rho. You're not alone. I wouldn't care about conforming if I found it fun, but I just don't. I'd rather spam Squad Slayer/FFA for easy credits, and easy is most certainly the word in those 2 playlists.
My girlfriend and I completed this on our first attempt on Winter Contingency. You can pretty much run past everything on the right side up until you get in the vehicles. Our plan was to get two vehicles and splatter everyone before we get into the falcons... but she was slacking and apparently I was so far ahead of her that the 2nd vehicle disappeared by the time she got to that checkpoint. She had to sprint all the way from where Carter and Jorge get in the back of your vehicle all the way up along the right path to where the dropships drop off coveys. I just splattered any elites and she headshot all the grunts when she got there. After the falcon drops you off, that's pretty much a timed mission. Takes about 5 minutes roughly. We both just hid behind Kat while she worked on the door. After we get inside, I blow up a fuel tank on the right to kill the grunt and jackals. We both tag team the brute shot elite and take him down in seconds. Grunts and jackals are easy headshots. When we got to the final area, I grabbed a plasma pistol and she had a DMR. I took down his shields, she capped him... and I ran for the button, but couldn't until the area was cleared. There was one more elite that was there. She distracted him and I grabbed the sword and sliced him and sprinted for the button. Completed in 14 minutes on our first attempt.
This ^ But I did solo ran past everything to the civilian jeep asap drove to the falcon pick up splattered the elites got in the falcon asap. Killed all the things when you get dropped off asap till kat opens door. -cutscene- run though the enemy's guns blazing get to the zealots assassin or plasma pistol head shot then press button asap. DONE first try 14:31.
Well, it took me three hours to complete this week's LASO challenge, but it felt like it was easier than all the other missions on LASO being that there were so many ways to sneak ahead to the next part.
Well, I meant excluding Nightfall, I should have clarified. Though I did say all. Also, I did the mission co-op with 1 other player and with some coordinated laser strikes on the phantom guns and certain banshees in addition to the mass driver/MAC gun we were able to do the last part fighting off the phantoms, which was to the contrary of two guides I looked up which said to just wait around until Keyes told you to fire.
took my friends and I like 1-2 hours. The toughest part was one of the boiler room places with like 4 elites. It's not too hard to kill them if you have one person distract and the others assassinate em.
With a partner, that part would become a lot easier. HAving two weapons firing capable of rendering the covenant incapable to fighting back is much simplier than using one gun. Still, I did it with that one gun solo, so it's possible to hold out alone too.
