The Citadel

I've got a question, which may out me as an idiot:

My wife and I played this last night. We've played the map a few times before (see my above post), but this was the first time we encountered this.
When we started the game, my wife spawned seemingly out of the map. If you're facing the 'warehouse' portion of Foundry from the non-deletable platform and stairs, she spawned on the left-hand side near or on the platform itself (can't remember for sure). She ran around for a while looking for a way 'in' to where I was, but to no avail. I went back later in Forge and found that (Slayer) starting spawn point as well as another one at the back of the map, near the overhead door.
Are we just buffoons that couldn't find a hidden way in? I was making fun of my wife when she couldn't get in, and I had to apologize to her later when I couldn't either...

 

well else can i say then best map of 2007?

 

I understand your problem, but I do think it should be One flag or Territories... I dont think any other game type works..

@squidhands: As Orangeremi said, only CTF, One Bomb and Territories are supported - Citadel doesn't support Slayer I'm afraid. It would be far too unbalanced. That is why the Bungie default starting points are still present. I am considering making a slightly altered infection variation on this map, but when depends on how much demand there is.. I've got a few other things on my to finish list.

Great fun playing this map the other night. Can't wait to play it on TGIF, some may have said it was "the most complicated" map of 2007, but I think it was well worth "the best" title.

 

thanks for the info. I've played CTF on here and it was one of the best versions of it I've played. But surprisingly, for a 1v1 match with my wife, it wasn't too bad of a Slayer map. She's a big run-and-gunner, so it worked fine aside from the default spawn settings. It's definitely worth the Best of rating.

 

Just set this for download for the next time I get online - looking forward to it!

 

This was alot more intricate than I had originally thought it was good, some part where confusing to my friends so you don't really understand it unless you read the full description of it and explain it to everyone else though when it was just me it was good

 

This was definitely would have been the most fun map this year, if i didnt have to explain it to everyone I played with. Once you get it it is amazing fun, but before that your teammates are morons.

 

Did anyone else notice that the number of views this post has is "OVER 9000!!!" LOLZ... but seriously... yes people are stupid at first, but once you get it, it is teh pwnzorz...

 

I can't wait to play this in a big game, so far all i've done is explored. I got to the rocket launcher though.

 

VERY fun. All of my friends liked the 1 flag variant the best. Congrats on guilder!

 

This map is now the most viewed thread here I know of. It's also pretty fun for One Flag CTF games.
