The original Pokemon theme song. Never gets old. Ever.
I'll just leave this here. Pokemon Opening Season 1 - YouTube

Lol. Damn Aschur, what haven't you seen? Gosick? .hack//sign? Big O? Tiger & Bunny? If you've seen all those, I got nothing.

I'm sure you've seen Hack and Big O. Tiger & Bunny isn't predominantly mystery, but it has some in it. It's a great action comedy though and I recommend it.

I'm tempted to watch that series with Haruhi in it, but I don't know what it's called or what it's about, anyone care to give me an insight?

Finished To-Love-Ru last night, pretty retarded ending, but at least it was unexpected so I for once wasn't able to predict what would happen. I need to stop doing that, I annoy myself sometimes when I get it right.

HRSG was good, although the ending was again a bit poo, at least this time I wasn't able to predict it.

Two anime with a main character named Haruhi Come to mind: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Ouran Highschool Host Club.

The former is interesting, though if you do watch it and don't want to go insane then I suggest you skip the "Endless 8" story arc. It is 8 episodes of the same day, very slightly different each time, but it makes my hair fall out just thinking about those episodes again.

The latter is a romantic highschool type with a tomboy as the main character.

Of the two, Haruhi Suzumiya is probably the one you were looking for, you might have to look it up and just try it out because I'm finding it hard to describe it accurately.

I actually didn't mind the Endless Eight, it's an interesting plot line, and KyoAni did go to the trouble of reanimating the events. It's still something to be prepared for, eight nearly identical episodes (there is progress, albeit small) in a row could be a hassle. But at least it won't take eight weeks for you to be able to watch it.

Disappearance is really the highlight of the series in terms of the anime though.

Also, I was actually thinking he meant Ouran because with Melancholy/etc Haruhi's name is in the title, and it should be easier to find and remember. (Maybe I'm wrong though.)

Hopefully Haruhi Suzumiya is the one you were looking for. The anime is about a girl who takes interest in the supernatural and a boy that thinks it's all rediculous. The girl forms a club called the SOS Brigade which specializes in the supernatural. Ironically, all the members are "supernatural", but she doesn't know this.

I'm not good at describing things. There is a much bigger picture behind it and I recommend it. Like Aschur said, if you make it to the second season, avoid the endless 8.

To Love-ru is one of those where it's better to read the manga than watch the anime because it goes into much greater detail. There's another season of it titled "Motto To Love-ru" I believe.

So, just finished episode 22 of Mirai Nikki. I get the impression its going to be over in 2 episodes. I was surprised as **** when a certain character turned out to be ****. (not the main character, although he had a thing for the main character)

EDIT: Just watched episode 11 of Another. I'm tempted to do something with this clip and make it my avatar or something. (a clip from Another)

For some reason I think Haruhi Suzumiya seems to be a pretty interesting anime that a good number of people have already seen. Would anybody recommend it, because I might consider it.

I want to start watching more anime, but I want to know what people think about some of them first.

I would. The full title is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" though.

Name off some anime you like. I might be able to give you some recommendations.

I'd recommend it, just be wary of the Endless Eight in season 2. At least be aware of their existence before getting to them, you can make the decision yourself whether or not you skip those 8 episodes though. (I personally wish I HAD skipped them, at least the 2nd-7th of them)

I'm halfway through the second season of Strike Witches and guess what. More Fanservice. More than I expected to see in an anime that's based around girls that are like 12 years old. It's still ****ing awesome and has a very grounded storyline, with an actual overall objective to it and there's no randomness, although the episodes seem to alternate between story-based and then sort of more fanservice based.

Example: In the last episode I watched, there was some sort of electric bug going around they were all trying to catch and it kept crawling in their panties.

If you can stand silly childishness and the constant stream of upskirt (I say that, they don't really wear much down below other than panties) camera angles, the action is fairly sweet and the animation is top-notch you'll find quite a good series.

If you don't fancy that sort of thing, I'd definitely recommend Cowboy Bebop. I'm only a few episodes in but I've gotten into it a little more now and I can say that although it's quite old, it lives up to all the hype it gets in my eyes.

If you want something a little newer, although I keep banging on about it, Soul Eater is a good show, with a very solid storyline, especially through the second half of the season. It's more comedy/action at the start and gets more serious later on.

I think I'll have a go at the Haruhi stuff, see if it's any good. After I finish Strike Witches.

I've only watched a single episode of this, but I've read the manga. I would recommend To Love-ru, I guess. They both have a large amount of fanservice and have a harem built around the "useless" main character. That's about the only connection I can make, so if that's what you're looking for than viola. I would also recommend The Familiar of Zero. Though there is less fanservice in it, the plots about a boy who enters a world full of magic, females, and stuff. I might also recommend Omamori Himari. It's basically about a boy surrounded by a harem of beautiful supernatural females who protect him from different dangers. There's plenty of fanservice and the girls do the fighting for the most part.

I honestly can't think of much for this one. You can try Mirai Nikki. I've only read some of the manga, but they both seem to be based around characters scheming to win a "game" with their special phones and whatnot. Mirai Nikki isn't as happy-go-lucky as Eden of the East though.

I've only seen a little bit of this, but I think I know the general plot. I would recommend Guilty Crown, which was recommended to me recently, lol. They're both about a schoolboy who gets a "power" from a mysterious girl. The boy later gets involved in a rebellion and there's lots of giant robots and stuff.

    Sky, you might like this.

    Those are your favorite?

Samurai Champloo is amazing. Have you seen Cowboy Bebop by the same director? I prefer the original Dragon Ball Z over Kai though. It bugs me that only some seens are remastered and it only stretches as far as the Cell saga, I think. I loved the Buu saga in the original.

I usually tend to watch anime from there or watchanimeon. They're both great sites.

For those wishing for fanservice, upskirt shots, ****, demons... etc. in an anime, I suggest Highschool DxD. It's about a perverted highschool guy that gets killed and is resurrected to become a demon.

For those wishing for a Shounen, I would have to suggest either Torriko or Dragonball(z) if you haven't seen it yet for some weird reason. Torriko is about a guy who collects food ingredients around the world, fighting weird monsters like Cocoalas (koalas with cocoa on their back) and then proceeding to eat them after he beats them. He only kills something if he intends to eat it. I'm not even going to explain Dragonball, you should know by now.

For something that is a "game" like Eden of the East, I would suggest Mirai Nikki, or if you are REALLY looking for something off the wall, C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control. The former is about a bunch of people with diaries that predict a specific aspect of the future, who are all trying to kill each other in order to become the god of time and space before the current one dies and the universe dies. The latter is... less intriguing, but still semi-interesting to watch, there isn't much real plot to it though. So, if that was what you liked about Eden of the East then Mirai Nikki is a much closer fit.

@Sky, damn it all. I need to finish my serious anime before going back to stuff like Strike Witches, but you talking about the bug in the panties makes me want to watch it SOOOOOO badly.

basketskate3, you have just given me 3 anime that I cannot decide on which one to watch first >.< (To Love-ru, The Familiar of Zero, and Guilty Crown). Like literally, I cannot make up my mind. I really couldn't care more or less about fanservice, not that I hate it, though.

To Love-Ru is quite comedic with the female protagonists inventions always going wrong. It's not all boobs and panty shots, there's quite a bit of actual story, it's just a bit vague.

Well, I think I'm gonna end up watching The Familiar of Zero first, because my most recent anime was very ecchi, so I don't want to lean towards another anime on that same level (in this case, To Love-ru). I will consider the 3 that I prieviously mentioned before.
