Have you recently finished up a map and publish it to Bungie?

Are you confused as to which category your map should go in?

Well, here at Forge Hub, when you post up your creation, you must put it in the right category.

There are 5 Categories here at the Forge Hub.

Those categories are Competitive Maps, Casual Maps, Race Maps, Mini Game Maps, and Aesthetic Maps (Decorative).

First, I will give a brief description of each category and what it is for.

    =Competitive=
Competitive Maps are probably the most common maps Forgers make. They are just a regular map where your standard gaming happens at. Maps that you find yourself playing CTF, Slayer, Team Slayer, Assault, sometimes King Of The Hill, are examples of a Competitive Map.

You can see a great example of a competitive map Here (The Citadel)

    =Casual=
Next, there are Casual Maps which are maps that have one purpose; to give players a casual gameplay experience. Casual maps are usually Infection or VIP based games that usually do not require tactics.

An example of a casual map that does not really use tactics can be found Here (Barrel Blaster)

Another example of a casual map that does use some tactics can be found Here (The Estate)

    =Racing=
The next category is Racing Maps. This one is pretty much self-explanatory. If you have made a map in which players must race, post it here.

Here is a really awesome racing map: Bungie 500

    =Mini Game=
Then there are Mini Game Maps. These are a collection of maps and games in which usually has to do with humans trying to survive while zombies try to kill them and vice versa.

Examples can be The Swings (My personal favorite) or Hobo Heights

    =Aesthetic (Decorative)=
Finally, there are Aesthetic Maps. These maps do not really serve a purpose except for the enjoyment of viewing. These maps display art and sometimes really chill architecture.

You can view a really nice piece of art Here (Scarab)

So, if your map is meant to be played with Slayer, CTF, Assault, or King of the Hill, it belongs in Competitive Maps.

If it is directed toward fun, casual gameplay, put it in Casual Maps

If your creation is meant to be raced on, put it in the Racing Maps category.

If you made a great mini game that players can have a blast and a even few laughs maybe, put it in Mini Game Maps.

Or if you are good at creating works of art, put your talent up in the Aesthetic Maps category.

I hope this helped Forgers know where to put there great creations!

    Happy Forging!

Why did you give them different names though?

And good idea, should be in the "Forge Maps" main forum though.

Isn't there already a stickied topic like this? I think I have seen this somewhere... anyway it should be sticked, maybe after you clean it up a little.
