May I introduce to you my first ever, and proudest map on forgehub: Terribad Height. This is my first post here, so please bare with me. This map is a ghost racing map, has 3 BIG jumps, a 87 Degree angled ridable wall, a U-turn, 6 slopes, a landing pad, a J-turn, signal lights, a working ghost-elevator, and alot more. I'm very sorry im not that good at explaining things, but I played this map with my friends and its alot of fun! You start on a bridge with two ghosts. The gametype is called terribad fun. The settings are Vip 300% run, 150% gravity so they cant cheat on the race, 0% damage, normal shields, and no camoflauge. At the starting gate there are two signal lights which flash different colors to indicate when to go. First blue, then silver, then pearl. There's a big incline then a huge jump onto a landing pad with a really smooth landing. Then there's an immediate second huge jump to a small curved slope and a 87 degree wall. This is the highest achievable angle on a ghost. At the top of this wall, there is a U-turn, followed by a third jump, onto the last dipping slope. Then there is a watchtower base curve, followed by a golden gate J-turn, leading back into the beginning. If you fall off and die, your ghost spawns after 10 seconds as a penalty for falling. There are 3 teleporters placed strategically throughout the bottom of the map. There is also a ghost elevator, which takes your ghost back up to the top if you fall off and survive. I finished off with a juicy fx orb to make it look nice. Im sorry I don't have any pics of the Ghost elevator, but I will post that ASAP, as well as the link to the gametype and map. Here's some shots of the map: Overview Signal Light- Blue Means Stop! Signal Light- Silver Means Get Ready! Signal Light- Pearl Means GO! First Incline followed by the First Jump First Jump in Action Landing Pad and Second Jump Second Jump Impossible Angles U-Turn Third Jump Bridge Dipping Slope Watchtower Slope and First Destination Golden J-Turn This map took a buttload of effort by me, and countless hours of rigorous testing. The second jump is currently under construction to be smoother, and I will post a v2. There is very little interlocking, but I have tested it thoroughly and it is very smooth. Please do not spam or flame me, I know I don't have the links to the gametype and map. I will post these ASAP. Thanks, and I hope the FH community enjoys this map. EDIT: Here's ghost elevator and the download link. Please play it and give me feedback. http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=III H3R03Z III SLOTS 4 + 5!
Your pics are small but it from what I can see it looks pretty solid. I always liked ghost racing maps as a change from the old goose. Everything looks great and your effort shows. My only question is what happens if someone misses a jump? is there a way for them to get back on the track? If there is, great. If not then your track has some issues that need to be fixed.
Awesome map I like how you made it a ghost racing track instead of mongooses by your pictures the map looks sweet í'll download and check it out
mhm, okay, what you did is you dragged the small pics from the your pictures section on bungie.net, you need to click on each one and get the enlarged one, from what I see I like it, ghost racing maps are awesome...
Oooo! An ELEVATOR!? This was already win from what I could see, but an elevator!? That makes it 20 times better. Looks very smooth and I'm glad that it's ghosts because mongooses got boring. Good job.
response Yes I designed the map, and after many test trials and countless times falling off and waiting for the ghosts to spawn, I thought, hey what about an elevator to send you back up? The elevator even flips your ghost around to be alligned 6 times out of 10. Thanks for all the nice posts. I hope you guys really enjoy this map.
