Perhaps you don't understand what I mean by constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is when you point out issues on the map that could be improved. It isn't really a complicated process, and yet you are still unable to accomplish it. I am not unable to make a map aesthetically pleasing. The map has such a bare look to it, because I wanted pros to be able to lan on it without frame rate lag. Do not try to bash me or my map because I acknowledge how little you contribute to this website and its members.
I do believe that I'm allowed to complain about what I dislike about a map without being required to offer full-on, multi-paragraph constructive criticism that would ultimately be a waste of my time. You're too defensive to bother. This whole map is bunch of 2x3s and 4s with struts and platform Ys for color. Very original.
What a nice surprise to come to the site and see this map in FHF I really enjoyed the time we spent in forge the other day and would love to show you the changes to Unconquered at some point. This map deserved the recognition it got and though there seems to be a bit of a spat going on about it, let me say that after meeting both of you, you are both very good forgers and more than that respectful and helpful to others as I have witnessed both of you giving great advice for my own maps. In the end not everyone can be made happy with a map and confrontations will emerge especially when two people have not met one another. I've found that if two forgers meet with open minds on live most conflicts seem petty as we realize that the other is not an enemy, just another forger. We all have something to bring to the table. Let's put all of our egos aside and work together as we are all striving to make our maps the best they can be. Xzamplez congratulations on creating an excellent map and receiving the recognition you deserve! Atlas
Link is at the top of the first page. It is highlighted "Download Link". @Atlas: Thanks for the kind words, after finally getting a game on Unconquered I can give you more substantial feedback.
the map is hardly dull as lynx said. But I still say you could do more to give the map for Aesthetic feel. Also creating jump-ups on the map may increase strategy and player traffic in areas. That is another suggestion I had thought about. Having a leftover budget of 6k is pretty impressive with what you have created, if it were me I'd submit this to the 5k leftover budget contest, you'd win easily. As for FHF it has earned its place telling by the votes. I believe people are bashing you only because of past arguments on forgehub. My only advice for that is to be less defensive on any opinion given and be neutral. Your point will be heard better, that is certain. Congradulations on FHF, you earned it.
With this map, it was all about the FR. I like the uniform look of the map. My future maps will be shinier and prettier. I have about 5 in progress, but I've been drawing 2 asyms a day and I really want to be content with a design. All of my other projects will be pushed off until I forge an asym that meets my standards. I thought the 5000 budget contest ended a long time ago? I don't care if people bash the map. There's nothing they can tell me about the map that I don't already know. I'm moving on from this map for now, until I find out how it did in the MLG arena submission.
Finally a map that utilizes visual appeal with rock/grass and has a unique symetrical design. Definetely one of the best maps on forgehub I have seen.
this is cool. very simple idea but it would work well. i think you could have added more decorative touches to your sea of 2x4's. you had lots of budget and the map is far from lagging. good use of struts and good use of rocks.
