Tartarus Those who have been judged will be punished here for eternity. Created by Sikamkanico (4 - 10 players) Video Tour: The BuTube Video can be found here. About "Tartarus" Putting aside the obvious homage to everyone's favourite evil Brute Chieftan, the map itself shares a theme with my other Sandbox creation "Elysium", it's older, bigger sister. For those who aren't aware, both names come from Greek Mythology. With this map I wanted to attempt to make a smaller, more close quarters arena map with classic gameplay. I love the idea of being able to scale different heights very quickly, as well as using the drops to get out of trouble fast. It features a classic Halo weapon set, and I think people will be very pleased with the gameplay they'll experience on this map. 1 x Energy Sword (180 seconds) 2 x Assault Rifle (45 seconds, Spare Clips: 2) 6 x Battle Rifle (20 seconds, Spare Clips: 2) 2 x Shotgun (120 seconds, Spare Clips: 0) 2 x Sniper Rifle (150 seconds, Spare Clips: 1) 4 x SMG (45 seconds, Spare Clips: 2) 2 x Plasma Pistol (60 seconds, Spare Clips: N/A) 2 x Needler (90 seconds, Spare Clips: 2) 4 x Carbine (45 seconds, Spare Clips: 2) 12 x Plasma Grenades (10 seconds) Equipment: 2 x Grav Lift (90 seconds) 2 x Regenerator (150 seconds) 1 x Active Camo (180 seconds) 1 x Overshield (180 seconds) Official Matchmaking Gametypes Recommended: Slayer (Lone Wolves) Team Slayer Multi Flag Assault One Bomb One Flag Team King Team Oddball Note: Tartarus is set up for all gametypes. This map looks awesome, i love the way you have merged the wood bridges in, it looks awesome and adds some variety which is lacking in many maps. The bases are identicle, you must have spent ages on them. This looks really good and i like how you've set it up for so many gametypes aswel. i think there is a possible feature here because of its precision and playability, 5/5.
Looks really nice man. I love the base design and the sword placement is a good idea. The "catwalks" are really good, cause their fairly exposed for a risk vs reward balance. All in all I think this map deserves my download. Keep up the awesome forging!
I see some merging, here at Forge Hub we like merging 5/10 lol! I had to do that, about the map... Playtesting this map was loads of fun. It's rare to find a map made in the Crypt that plays so well. I saw the map get updated several times and i was a bit weary about some of the changes. But after playing, it seems as though you have everything balanced so well. The map itself reminds me of Sanctuary with it's own unique style and the multi level combat just works so well. All gametypes seems to be fun to play on. We had some very close Capture The Flag matches and the King Of The Hill locations were really well placed providing some cover but not too much. Many places on the map have various access points in terms of how you approach it and i really like that! For anyone remotely interested in downloading this map, i would urge you to go and download it. It's a very solid map which provides an enjoyable experience. 10/10 I will comment on your Atlas Post when B.net gets back online.
you got a nice constructed map here, very original and i bet the gameplay is great, the center piece kinda looks like one of my maps(xyience) but ive never seen something like that, 5/5 and i think feature worthy.. GREAT job overall
I somewhat expected the map to be 3 levels, in the Sky bubble with a grav lift in the middle and gravity hammers. You proved me wrong. The map looks great and I would definately wish to download this when I can get back home.
Tartarus=tarter sauce. Lol not your map the brute guy. Anyway this map seems to very well thought out and forged very nicely i like all the different levels you have goin on in this map also. The bases also are a plus to this map, they look nice. Keep up the nice work.
Thanks - considering doing an MLG style weapon set up version for it, but not sure yet. Any more thoughts from my fellow forgers?
