    Many research compounds like this now lay abandoned...
    Weapons List:
    2x Snipers 0 clips 150s respawn
    2x needlers default settings
    2x needler rifles default
    1x focus rifle 120s respawn
    2x shotguns 2clips 70s respawn
    4x assault rifles and plasma repeaters
    various pistols and grenades scattered throughout​
    Tandum is a medium asymetrical map that was first built with the idea that balancing a map in forge world is possible without having to create a mirror image map. The concept is simple You have two bases;​
    Red Base​

    That are both semi opened and not on the same height level
    For layout I used a two floor format with an open top center, with two sniper "perches" that is connected to the bottom using tunnels and short range teleporters.​

    This is the middle neutral zone. The oddbal neutral flag and bomb spawn here [​IMG]
    This is the blue snipe area looking at the red snipe area (the rock hill)​

    (Take notice of the rocks there as there is a lot of structure to be considered.. Just couldnt get a pic of it.)​

    Also just to show where the Blue tunnels take you​

    (yes those two teleporters take you to each other. This is real fun in KoTH because there is a hill at the top)​

    This bottom area has one relativly open sight line that creates great close combat around this bottom structure​

    This layout creates a multi styled combat that anyone of any gametype can enjoy.
    Balance:
    The balance of the map is achieved through the weapon layout. Probably the best example of this is the shotgun vs sniper roles. the shotguns are placed in an area where they can be used to either A. attack the snipe B. attack a lower ground tunnel OR C. attack a base This is great due to the contrast of snipe role. A. attack opposite snipe B. attack opposite Base C. defend Base.​

    Fun to Play:
    CTF, Crazy Koth (certain objects spawn), Oddball, all slayer gametypes
    Spawing:
    There is a ton of spawn channels on this in order to support the multiple gametypes
    Kill balls there is a bunch due to jetpacks.. Oh and dont try to reach the Falcon or the rockets.. You DIE

    Good initial idea for a map,

    My problems are that the map seems empty and unoriginal, try adding in a cool structure or something like that that is very aesthetic.

    Also im taking that you placed a kill area around the rockets and falcon? If your going to do something like that make it intractable as in far away from the map because through personal experience people can easily be confused by this.

    Appreciate the feed back.. The falcon and rockets are on a runway that has a soft kill which lets you know to turn around. As far as asthetics go.. There is not a lot of focus on this ill admit as i was going for the same ol same ol idea just wanted it Asym and still balanced. There may be an update to looks on this map in its future but I have like four other ones im trying to build. just had to post it before i forgot it all together.

    I think you should focus more on what he said regarding your map being too open. Look at any of the maps on our Featured Maps section, and you'll notice that they perfectly blend long and short range battles in an interesting way. This map has almost no cover whatsoever, aside from a few awkward structures. This forces all combat to be at long range. Not only does this force uninteresting play, but if you don't have a DMR or a Sniper you're completely screwed.

    The other parts of the map seem to be focused around a confusing, overly constricted close-range layout. This is actually a bit too constricting for anything but pure melee/shotgun-rush gameplay, which is also rather uninteresting. One last issue I managed to find is that rather than base your map on a gradually changing landscape, you seem to have just plopped down a Coliseum Wall as your map base. This means that a player will almost never have to shift his Y-axis, causing not only more dull-ish gameplay, but also making people unready to assault the only source of height in the map: The base.

    I'd recomend you read up on this. Most of it still applies to Reach.

    I guess I should have went on record to say that I know that top mid needed something. Sometimes though... Since it ain't my first rodeo... You need that critic that will say the one thing that reimages the map in your head. We will have a version 2 soon. But Harris sales you owe me a test review
