I Have a HUGE Favor to ask of Everyone in the ForgeHub Community. My Mom just turned 40, she has 3 kids and was recently diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demylenating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) It took doctors Seven Years to diagnose her. This Disease Tears Apart Her Nerves and Immune System to Where Everyday she lives with Chronic Pain. She can't walk, can't button her pants, can't drive. She sits on the couch all day in pain and barely able to move. She is receiving "At Home IVIG Treatments to try and Boost her Immune System" She seems to be getting worse now, and I just found out today that I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD) and I can barely walk, or put any weight at all on my legs. Both CIDP and RSD are rare diseases and have no cures. My mom does what she can around the house for the family, but recently hasn't been able to even get off the couch at all. I help her the best I can, and the Most I can with what I can do, but it's beginning to become to much. I'm still going to help her out as best as I can, but I just ask for the help of ForgeHub to support the fight against CIDP and RSD. February 28th, 2013 is Rare Disease Day. I thought maybe you guys could do a Special Event or something to support me and my mother as we Fight through Chronic Pain Everyday.
You sound incredibly brave man. I can't imagine how hard everyday life is for you and your mum. Quite frankly, I am pissed off that no one has commented yet. I think it would be cool to host a little competition with a small fee for this charity. I would suggest talking to some of the staff directly too see if you can get something sorted.
