I made a small picture map on forge with obelisks, lights, 2 shield doors, and the sun in the background. It is a minor effect with a plasma throw. I took many pictures and I'll post em here for you guys to pic out your favorite. Constructive criticism please.

The fourth was my favorite. I don't really understand what seems to be an obsession with washing out the object of the screenshot with overpowered lighting, that seems to really remove from the whole experience I think. This was the one that was the least washed out, and the most intriguing to me.

Overall a 2/5 from me. Don't take it personally, I just didn't care for most of them. The second was pretty nifty too though.

i would say, tone it down with lighting, and try not to get the edges of the shield doors in the pic.

otherwise, i would say 3/5 cuz some are good.

okay. I took the snapshot in theater mode. And I had the camera zoomed in on the explosion in the second pic, And I went to take the screenshot and I accidently zoomed out revealing the shield doors, So that's why.

I should note though the overall work is pretty good. Your intentions are clear and I think you could get some good shots. Also, don't think your shots need 'effects' to look good. They don't. I've seen a lot better shots done free of effects than with effects.

The third one is the best IMO. The grid in the backround is great in contrast with the sky. The pose and lighting are great too. The other ones, though. Not so good. I don't know what's bad about them, but I just don't like them =/.

    My favorite one (3rd): 4.5/5
