Many of you have been dreading this one, which is partially why I waited so late in the game to throw it into the competition. I know what most of you are thinking. "Oh teh noes! Iz 2 hard for meh!" I promise you that Cortana is far being the hardest mission in the game. You have plenty of things to your advantage such as tons of weapons and ammo, enemies that willingly charge straight at you, allowing you more opportunities at recharging your shields with less risk involved, and of course in comparison to the previous mission, this one can be considered "short".

I will say, however, that the key element of difficulty in this mission, the one thing that even makes it difficult at all, is the sheer randomness of events that will unfold throughout the mission. The Flood will consistently spawn with different weapons and in different places. Because of these factors, making an accurate guide for assaulting Gravemind's rectum can be rather challenging, but we've managed to pull two together for you. The first is the HBO Cortana Mythic Walkthrough. The second will also be available tomorrow on HBO and entitled... Cortana 2.0. Both use very different tactics, so I suggest you read and study both guides to get a more well rounded perspective on the different tactics that can be used to conquer Cortana on Mythic (Legendary + all 13 skulls activated + FFA scoring). Solo, as usual, of course.

We've gotten you this far. You've beaten every Flood mission yet. You should now have a much better idea on how to handle all walks of Halo 3 Flood. Even if you don't, the guide can help pave your way to victory. This is the last mission before we start issuing the "Terrible Triad" so enjoy it while you can, and don't forget to read ALL of the RULES and FAQs before attempting this challenge! A few other things to remember in ADDITION to the rules are:

1. Please title your film "Mythic Cortana ".
2. When you send Tyrant122312 a private message on Bungie.net with your entry, please title the message "SMRC: Cortana"
3. Be sure to hyperlink your entry. Use the following format: insertfilmaddresshere
4. Please do NOT private message me on either here or Xbox Live asking questions about the contest. All questions about the contest should be asked in Urk's thread here. All questions about Mythic Difficulty itself should be asked in the main thread here. No Friend Requests either, please...
5. Please only submit ONE entry. Double check your work beforehand so you don't have to worry about submitting it incorrectly. It's not a rush. You have a full week to do this.
6. Please do not ask me whether or not I have received your entry. Have faith in the system. If you sent it, I got it.

This will be the LAST time you'll be dealing with the Flood in this competition, so just remember that once it's behind you, it'll be 100% Covenant from here on out. Best of luck to you all!
