Map name: Stromboni When the italian island stromboli cracked due to the massive volcano eruption, bridges like these were used to get past enormous cracks in the ground. Description: This is yet another of my foundry maps, a BTB themed one, concentrated on vehicle combat and large parties of players. It features a large bridge in the middle of the map supported by beams, and on the bridge is a laser (far end, you can only reach it by the bridge) and a Power drain, which is to the right between the barriers as soon as you get up to it from the spawn area. the PD is an instans rush, and so is the laser. in the back of the map there is a hill. on this hill there is a rocket launcher and a grav lift for a quick way to get to the bridge. the plasma pistol is located under the bridge, in the second underpass. the first underpass has a bubble shield, 2 plasma rifles on one side and 2 SMGs on the other. A bruteshot spawns on the square towers in the middle of both sides, and the carbines spawns close to the rockets, around the small construction separated form the bridge. The needlers are in geomelded open boxes nest to the middle beam along with a gravlift to take you up to the bridge on top. the spartan laser is at the highest point of the map, which makes it a risk to grab it. It seems unbalanced to have the laser and the rocket right above the other, but it would simply be idiotic, since the team would gain more to split the weapons for two people. the bases have several spawns, and spawn area are set out to prevent spawnkilling. all vehicles spawn inside the bases, and next to the fusion coils there is a sniper. There is one turret in every base, but the risk of using it is the passage onto the bridge on the side. sticky grenades are limited to promote vehicle usage, and it is compatible for all gametypes. most of this map looks awesome. some areas are a little... thrown together i guess i would say, but overall looks neat and like it'd play well. a bit too much focus on just one spot on the map. the rest feels empty. this map also appears to be heavily influenced by Blaze...
Looks good. I'm a bit concerned about the bases tho, that many spawnpoints that close to each other is very rarely a good idea. Also, true to my sig, No Shotty = no DL from me. (barring minigames of course.) To Silence, using stairs as bridge supports is a very, very old idea

overthehodge, sorry if i stole your concept Yes, in fact a little thrown together at the square towers with the truck and the wire spool, that was mainly to fill out the map. works good anyways though . If you're thinking about the stairs below the bridge, that was not influated by blaze. i had this idea before curbstomp, even if i love that map. i just finally made it happen. Liutenant Ashler; i know it is not, but i didn't want to litter the driveway with spawnpoints, and the spawn areas prevents people from spawning there if someone's too close. Thank you penguin !
why does everyone assume the stairs are what i meant? hell ive been doing that for months before he even signed up for this site. but the overall architecture has a similar style, not to mention the bridge hump the rocketlauncher rests on. ANYWAYS, i wasnt all like "man... you stole half this map from blaze!". I just noticed alot of style changes as of late in peoples maps.
yeah, i guess blaze influated us all the map layout is nothing like his maps, but i did use a little of his geometry. basicly i wanted a hill so that you could only see the enemy when you're on top of it, and the bridges were my best choice if i didn't want to geomerge. simple as that.
this looks like a very good peace of forge, and it is very well done but i only have one prob the 2 to last picture looks like the respawns are too close together between the 2 bases
this map looks good and alll btu im not sure of the use of warthogs on foundry. I personally think that foundry is to small for any thing beesides ghosts and mongooses. other then that this map looks very cool and I think a V2 could really help it out.
geometry with use of objects of course. thanks, sexy dude, yes it is close, kinda reminds me of avalanche, but no spawnkilling is possible since the respawn areas goes all the way to the top of the ramp. in a V2, are you talking about replacing the warthog with a ghost?
