The video was really hard to follow, especially the beginning. The characters looked the same, the was little and hard-to-understand dialogue in your short, and I didn't understand what the players' actions were supposed to be. The only thing that kept me watching this was the fact that I didn't know what the heck was happening. I suggest you learn the basics of what makes a good story here: Story Structure | Script Writing and Screenwriting Help You definitely shouldn't try to use all the techniques on the website, but choose a couple things you could include in your next video. Your next one could be much better if you follow them.
Okay, I can tell you didn't take this very seriously, but I will say that you should mute the sound in machinima and do voice-overs so you don't pick up random sound effects and ****. Also, try to get the game plan right so when you film it you don't have to edit large parts out etc. This ruins the flow, and as it seems you're not that experienced with editing, I noticed mistakes and bloopers in the machinima (e.g. when the car crashes that is giving chase, assuming that wasn't meant to happen) Also, always use a canvas map. The Ghost ruined a scene, I can tell.
Sorry for the late post. How so? We did take it seriously. Why would you do that? That would ruin the whole effect. How many machinimas have you seen with no sound? We did do voice-overs. Where did you come up with this? How would you know if I had to edit large portions out? I didn't is all I can say. There really weren't any mistakes. If you're talking about the warthog chase when the purple guy flips slightly, he made it anyway. All other crashes were planned. We were going to, but we didn't want to have to re-forge the entire map. We moved the ghost originally, but it respawned.
i lol'ed at 1:43 ehhh, next time record your voices with a mic. it will make it much more clear and better.
its was so **** it was funny not trying to be harsh but this is y most machinimas are done on local or system link with wepon lowering
Same. It just seemed so... I dunno, I don't want to insult you, but it's a bit amateur. You've done machinima before so I thought you might have had a little experience. It's usually a smart idea. You mute the film and then do the voice-overs. Or at least turn down the background noise using an editor. I mean, not XBL voice-overs. You were switching footage for BTB Shenanigans; you could have all used a PC mic to add a voice-over. The XBL headset comes out really quiet and bad when listening to it through proximity speech. I really couldn't follow the story, so I thought you'd edited bad parts out without replacement. Also, the camera is really jerky during the chasing bit. Fair enough. TBH, that's really lazy. How hard is it to delete everything or download a canvas? You really should have re-done that scene because the Ghost didn't make any sense.
