Many people think that Mirror's Edge looks just like only jumping on rooftops. Maybe this will change your opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XObZXYkiMO0 WATCH THE END HALF!
Yeah its not just jumping on rooftops. Its jumping everywhere. Get it right guys. But seriously, i saw this on TV and it seems like i would just get dizzy as hell if i played this.
Made me dizzy. The fighting seems pretty cool. It's like Assassin's Creed in first person view x10. Anyways, looks like it could be fun. I'll have to play the demo first.
Try the demo. Watching someone run in first person can make you dizzy, but when you are running its much better, and it feels good in this game.
Its a rental, unless that cool ass preorder bag is good.. I think this will be the next Assassins creed in respect to: everyone buys it and trades it in lol. At one point we had like 45 copies of assassins creed in my store used.
I played the demo a couple days back, its awesome. The controls+gameplay=smoothness. So easy to do what you want to do in the game. Reminds me of The Matrix sorta.
wow way to go on that grif. i love the way it looks.. maybe just maybe il buy it. oh wait theres a demo right? il download that
idk. it just seems like the controls might be really hard.. there is nothing on the screen except for what the guy sees, and that is different.
Actually they are really easy. Everything is pretty much LB with a litle LT thrown. When you get to combat it get a little complicated, but everything RT, punches, kicks, and firing. To kick you have to press LB to jump or LT when running then RT.
LT is more frequently used by advanced players, especially in Time Trials. You use it a lot to get 3 star ratings.
Yeah I knew this would be cool first time I saw the trailer. It's hard to believe the controls would be smooth with that much movement, but gaming has come a long way man.
I'll get this eventually, probobly for christmas, but mostly because I just like parkour, or free running, whatever you want to call it. I told my friend who actually parkours and he basically went happy with glee.
Little misspelling there... And the actions are a little more complicated than that. LB = "Upper" Anything from Jumping to swinging off a pole. LT = Lower Crouching, sliding, falling off RB = Reverse Turn around in air on while holding on to something, or just look behind you. RT = Aggressive Open doors, attack people. If you have motion sickness, there is a reticule which shows up in the center of the screen to help "orient" you. I don't use it because I don't get sick and I want it to feel realistic. I wonder how the PC version is going to work... the controls won't make sense.
I'm downloading the demo as I type, I first saw the trailer on CAD's news page, but it seems to be getting some pretty awesome reviews. Too bad my Live connection is like dial-up. -_-
Grif you know if there is any online in this game? I've played the demo like forty times waiting for Gears to come out, I'm real excited for this bad larry.
