^Smooth. I have this 75% off Trine 2 code that I'm never going to use, ever, if anyone wants it. Got it off that Summer Seal crap. Spoiler YKKJF-IXYGH-NZM5X
It's times like these I wish I was a PC gamer. :/ The chances of Xbox doing something like this are negligible.
Microsoft does do it to a lesser extent. They've been doing various deals on xbox content since early June. Right now I believe a bunch of arcade games including toy soldiers are like 50% off. Not as good as valve but it's a start
That's because Microsoft is just a bunch of corporate pricks that just want to cheat you out of your Microsoft Points.
There's just so many faults with this sentence I'm having trouble deciding where to start. I'm not sure if you were responding to Or what I said, but regardless, a little over the top don't ya think. So the entire company of thousands of workers are a "bunch of corporate pricks", Bill Gates who donates more money to charity then most people's net worth combined is a prick? I assume you mean specifically the xbox division, the group which (and I've mentioned this many times before) sold the original xbox despite never turning a profit on it. Most of their money comes from XBL as they have very few exclusive titles and they own even fewer IPs (Halo being the most obvious one). Then comes what I just said a post up from yours, Microsoft is discounting games. Not as much as Valve but then again Valve has a completely different business modal and can easily afford slashing prices on steam content because they have such a locked in market. Also where did, "cheat you out of your Microsoft Points" come from. You had to buy the points to begin with...so offering you things to spend them on is cheating you out of them? I don't follow. They aren't forcing you to spend the points on anything. My only gripe with MSP which is unrelated to what you said is that I feel MSP are an unnecessary layer of abstraction. People have to convert in their heads what 240 MSP means in real money. Perhaps I'm overreacting a bit here but it is a serious pet peeve of mine when people expect everything to be dirt cheap, great quality, etc regardless of circumstance or context and when it isn't that company must be evil/greedy/terrible.
The msp system is a bit decietful...Pyschologically you are more willing to spend points because they are disassociated monetarily. Also you can never spend the exact amount you want, that's my biggest gripe with any game with a money to points based economy.
Thinking about getting Portal 2... although I've already watched a walkthrough, is there much replay value, would anybody recommend it anyways? Edit: nobody replied >.>, watched trailers and lol'd a ton, so I ended up buying it.
So i found out i can buy games from steam mobile... and ive been getting drunk late night and... well Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Gotham Imposters w/ All DLC - $24.99 *Imposters is really underrated of a shooter its quite good and the art style is kinda fun and not as corny as i expected. *City is of course awesome nothing new here. Catwoman is hot.... Binding of Issac + DLC $1.98 *Probably as hard as a super meat boy but more fun and much more diversity. The imagination of some item/monsters and the random generated area just leads to infinite replay value. *For such a cheap game i suggest buying it regardless if you enjoy the genre. Dungeon Defenders + DLC $3.95 + $1.98 *I already have 230 hrs in the game but i just bought all the new heroes and DLC for it and its amazing they have so much random loot you dont want to play diablo3... almost. Fallout: New Vegas + all DLC $9.99 *I played Fallout 3 and this game out maybe a year or so after so i decided to pass on it because i was still playing fallout 3. But i have to stay the story is immediately much more interesting, I've only played alittle but its new location is worth the cheap steam sale price it was. Red Faction: Guerrilla $4.99 *Probably the oldest game i bought but this game has always been on my radar and i have zero regrets in buying it. I'm quickly playing through enjoying the crap out of blowing everything up. Tribes: Ascend [Free 2 Play] $4.99 *I bough the starter pack when it was on sale comes with a bunch of class for you to unlock early. If you played the original and like the idea of flying through the air with the greatest of ease like the daring young man on the flying trapeze. try it out. you also shoot discs at people. L.A. Noire + ALL DLC $7.49 Great Game. Not for everyone. Torchlight $3.74 Havn't played yet. Came highly recommended. Cave Story+ $2.49 Played a little Metroid/mario/guns? i dont know. TOTAL - $66.59 - Just about a $59.99 xbox game with tax... Im eyeing Payday the Heist to go on sale. Ive passed on Left 4 Dead 2 a bunch of times but i am looking for good CO-Op games or MP games so please suggest some.
Cave Story plus really isn't worth the money, considering Cave story is freeware, and + barely adds anything worthwhile. In saying that, I'm a cheap bastard, so I've only bought Torchlight. Although I did give a steam gift card to my friend, who has an amazing computer, and I plan on going to his for a while to get my money's worth.
Picked up: GTA4 + All DLC Terraria Thief: Deadly Shadows And I'm looking at picking up Nexuiz for $2.50 For anybody that wants a really good deal, if you go buy a steam card from Gamestop you get +30% Trade in bonus. That means, if you buy a $20 Steam card, and also happen to continue trading in games toward things on the same purchase, you can get a lot more money than you normally would for the games, toward other things. I got a twenty dollar steam gift card, and paid off Halo 4 Legendary edition (Pre-order) with like, five to six games. Planning on going back today or tomorrow to do the same thing again, but this time end up with a twenty dollar steam card, and Dishonored pre-ordered and paid for.
Already went on sale for like 8 bucks a few days ago, doubt it will again.. It didn't sale much I think [br][/br]Edited by merge: Picked up CitiesXL 2011 and thinking about getting Terraria maybe.
Question: I already have Nexuiz on the Xbox. I love the game but don't play it too much. Would it be worth it to get it for $2.50 on PC? Is there more of a following for the game on PC?
Quake style games are usually vastly more popular on the PC. Also, there are wayyy more PC gamers than console gamers, in a global sense. I'm just worried to buy it now, because my Laptop apparently can't run GTA4 or Amnesia because of my "graphics card", which pissed me off. So I really don't want to buy another game that will just end up not playable, and if I remember correctly Nexuiz has some pretty goodlooking graphics.
It's not a complete loss of money if you purchase it, because if you upgrade, you can transfer your account to your new computer and DL and play your purchased games on there.
