I'm not entireley sure that this is in the right section, but has anyone else noticed a glitch where setting default starting objects not to spawn at the start of a round (so you can interlock them) on sandbox causes them to either: A) spawn at the start in the position they were in when you set them not to, however they are frozen and unselectable B) spawn where they were on the map origionally after the correct respawn time C) not spawn at all but still be used up, and create the unlimited budget glitch by accident, but one that only allows you to place objects you have on the map allready D) spawn at the start but be unselectable, become selectable after their respawn time, then dissapear after 30-60 seconds I don't know if it's just my xbox freaking out or what, but this is preventing me from making maps without hitting the item limit and is really annoying me. can anyone help?
Just delete all the starting objects except spawns, weapons, and objectives. You'll still run out of cash before OLN budget just like if you had tried to fight through the default objects when forging.
Don't Don't interlock with the default object unless you have to. They are unpredictable and not worth the time. Just use the default objects for portions of the map you are not interlocking, or, if you are interlocking a default object with a non default object, simply set the runtime for the non default object to no and place the default object without changing it's runtime at all.
I was thinking about putting out my finding on how to stop that earlyier. No matter what you do there will always be unpredictable moments with these items. OLN Rules, 1. When first starting up and interlocking with these object just do it normaly. You will notice that they do not spawn though (sometimes if they feel like it though) when you go to where you took them from they will spawn there instead. IMPORTANT do not pick up the object, instead press X on it and set it to spawn. start a new round and it will be in the correct spot. 2. If you have saved and quit and the object has not been moved since set it to place at start: NO and respawn time to 180. start a new round. You will at first be confused because the item will still be there. wait 30 seconds (+5-10 sometimes) and the item will disapear. Important: raising the run time minimum does not make it spawn you have to wait the full 180 seconds. 3. If you have saved and quit then moved the object again it will follow rule 1. If it has not been moved it will follow rule 2. Use these items in low interlocking areas. these items have there own minds these rules just tell you what rules the TEND to follow. Only use the OLN canvas if you want the full 600 items (or 640).
Someone made a good recommendation that you use all the items in the regular limit first and then when you start running out of regular items you go back and replace them with the original items. I know I used a lot of original items as I went along and they're really annoying to work with. Some things I've found A) As mentioned: If you move it, then set it to not spawn, it will show up in it's original position before despawning and while reappearing. You can either set it to spawn at start, or save. Saving will move it to it's correct position. B) If you are in the area of the pieces it takes longer to despawn, it also takes longer to despawn if you have more original pieces trying to despawn as well. It takes especially long if you're looking at the object or standing on it. C) If you try and set the runtime minimum to spawn the pieces it won't work on that item set while the originals are waiting to despawn. Even shortly after the original pieces won't be spawnable
