Dude that stargate looks awesome. I was thinking of something like this but i couldnt beat this map. Well done DLING now!
So, after playing through this map a bit, I have to say I'm quite impressed. There are a few small elements of it I dislike (such as the relative difficulty of getting up on the central bridge as opposed to navigating around the rest of the map, though this seems intentional) But overall, excellent job.
I figured I'd let you folks know that the initial release of this map contained some problems with zombie spawns. I have since corrected this and linked this thread to the updated file. If you liked the map, but had issues with spawning... please check out the new link. This should fix the problem. The problem was discovered during play testing, however I keep multiple saves of each file on my Xbox. It appears that I initially uploaded the incorrect file. Please accept my apologies for this error. I tried to correct the problem before too many downloads occurred so hopefully most of you have the correct file already.
i've seen that show like once and i can tell that this is an amazing remake! well done! looks very professional.
I may not be of help right now, but if I could get into a group of people playing so I can test this map out for myself then i would dl it, but if I just dl it now and play by myself I won't really get to experience this fantastic project first hand and my review would be picture biased (because it looks excellent from the screenshots), which I don't want to be doing.
OmG JUST RALIZED DAT INFECTION ZUMBEH;S ARE TEH REPLIKATORS!!!!!? Hehe...any way have any suggestions for setting to paly infection for this? You know forced colour purple/steel high speed, etc
Midget, in my fileshare I have an infection gametype called Stargate Wars. It was originally created for my Stargate Wars map, but I have seen several groups playing it on Stargate Worlds. It is probably the most balanced Infection gametype I've ever played. I'll give you a brief run down. Zombie color is gold to somewhat mimic the Goa'uld battle armor. If you've ever watched the show, you know that the Goa'uld tend to wear gold plated armor reminiscent of ancient Egyptian design. The humans are black to simulate "SWAT" type uniforms. In the show, black, green and camo are common. Zombies can pick up any weapon on the map. Humans have only the weapons they spawn with... magnum and BR. I did this for the Stargate Wars map because I have placed several Fuel Rod Cannons at the Zombie spawn. You cannot start Zombies with the Fuel Rod Cannon. The damage zombies can inflict has been reduced to 75% for alpha and 50% for non-alpha zombies. The alpha zombie starts with Brute Shot and Grav Hammer. The rest start with Brute Shot and needler. If you decide to use this gametype, you are free to adjust starting weapons as necessary. Zombies get 10 seconds of poor camo, shields and immunity to headshots. This is just enough time for them to navigate into the primary map area without being spawn camped. It sounds like a lot of time, but it really isn't. Basically, I really wanted to try and recreate a typical SG-1 vs. Goa'uld battle. I've gotten a lot of feedback that I virtually nailed the experience. Check it out and see for yourself. I'm absolutely serious in saying this is a very balanced infection game. Humans will have the upper hand in the beginning, but every new addition to the zombie ranks makes it that much harder for the humans. The addition of ranged weapons means that Zombies no longer have to get super-close to score a kill. It's an absolute blast if you're the last man standing and you're trying to keep the onslaught of zombies at bay. Fortunately, I've infused the last man standing with an adrenaline boost... he's a little tougher and can still put up a good fight.
O_O that is beautiful... i cant stress of how good that looks thats purley amazing, all of it. The portals just brillant, you have to make more maps!!
