    Map Title: Stargate V.1

    Download Map

Description: This was something I started a while ago. It was originally just supposed to be a multiflag capture the flag. As I built it and collected input from other players I found it was more suited for single flag. For the finished product I added support for assualt, territories, and other objective based game types.

The contains two symmetrical bases each with a working stargate, defenses, and an armory

The piece de la resistance. It is fully functional. You can go through it either way just fine. The explosives are there to stop the flag carrier or anyone trying to attack or defend. They respawn fairly quickly but allow escapes to destroy them from a safe distance and escape.

The turrets are a great defense against unsuspecting people who decide to walk through the gate without rockets or similiar advantages. The boxes have shields and spare ammo to help with the push into a base or alternatively it's defense.

The armory has some basic upgrades to the normal starting equipment. Shotguns, Battle Rifles, a few flame grenades, and a flare. The armory also houses the flag and bomb capture/respawn points.

Here is a back vew of the base.

This picture shows how you can see out of the armory but cannot shoot.

The man cannons allow you to shoot past the turrets on the otherside, but don't rely on them in a pinch because it's sometimes easy to miss the gate.

Supported Gametypes: Single/multi flag CTF, Single/multi bomb assualt, Territories, Infection, Slayer

Gameplay Notes: For CTF or assualt I suggest single flag/bomb. When you use multi flag/bomb it can get too hard to for either side to gain ground or keep track of their stuff. In Territories I suggest flag rally so the areas stay unlocked and just seems to work well. Slayer and Infection work but I think it's too easy to camp the gate and take out the zombies when they come through. Also the map was not set up for king of the hill or oddball since there is no neutral locations for the spawns.

If you have any suggestions send me an email to hiroyuy0000@aim.com or catch me on XBL at Hiro Yuy. I'm always looking for ways to improve the map for V.2.

please use bigger pics, i think what you did wrong is you copied them straight out of your screenshot gallery, if you select them it will bring up a screenshot viewer where the pics will be bigger save this into your computer and use them instead. the stargate looks really cool andmust have taken a while to make, the rest of the map is VERY basic and this is not always a good thing, try not to make armories because they encourage weapon camping. you had a very nice idea though and i'm guessing this is your first map so it is a very good first post.

Click on the pictures to make them bigger as for the armory I only used basic weapons. I was very careful to spread the power weapons out. Finally as for the simplicity the wall and stargates cost way to damn much. I believe I only had $4 left over.

be sure to mention the budget leftover next time, and the thing about the pics is for future maps, as for the armory i don't call 4 shotties basic especially if they're in a small room with only two entrances
