Stargate SG-1 : The Lost City

    Stargate SG-1 : The Lost City

    So, here is my first map ever made on Reach Forge, my first map posted in ForgeHub and my first post ^^.
    One could think "Another original title" x), but giving names has never been my cup of tea ^^.
    I'm french, so excuse me if i have a poor language ^^.
    This may be the prelude of a Stargate maps serie, but nothing is sure.
    So, enought talk, let us start :p. We can also pass the story of this map, it is not my cup of tea either. Just say it is a lost city... found by the SG-1 team in 2552 ^^.​

    First and foremost, a global screen of my map (this is what you will see as red when the game starts). Indeed, you will see that there are 3 levels.​

    You may have guess it. It is a closed map with... water ^^.
    The main idea of this map is simple : if you jump in the water, then...​

    This will add a rather interresting dimension for this map.

    Those little flag stands are here to find your way. So, if you are lost, follow them and they will bring you at the upper level ;).

    But there is a little inconvinient : the very bad sight ^^ :

    This map is playable on most of gametypes and supports 4 team of 4 games.

    I will only describe the Invasion and Infection modes because these modes are the ones the most played in Custom Games.


    Let's started with the Invasion one !

    Spartan are on the offence.

    Step 1 : Territory

    5 minutes
    One territory, 20 secondes for capture, 7 second of float time.


    Spartans Load-outs:
    1. Scout : Assault Rifle, Magnum, Sprint, 1x Frag
    Elites Load-outs :
    1. Warrior : Plasma Reapeter, Plasma Pistol, Evade, 1x Plasma.
    2. Assassin : Needler, Active Camo, 1x Plasma.
    Step 2 : Assault

    5 minutes
    Bomb cannot be reset. 10 secondes for arming. 5 seconds for explosion after arming.

    A Focus Rifle appears. This will be the only invasion weapon on the map, due to budjet problems.


    Spartans Load-outs :
    1. Recon : DMR, Assault Rifle, Sprint, 1x Frag.
    2. Infiltrator : Magnum, Assault Rifle, Active Camo, 1x Frag.
    3. Spec Ops : Assault Rifle, Magnum, Hologram, 1x Frag.

    Elites Load-outs :
    1. Deceiver : Plasma Reapeter, Plasma Pistol, Hologram, 1x Plasma.
    2. Zealot : Needle Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Evade, 1x Plasma.
    3. Dark Assain : Needler, Plasma Pistol, Active Camo, 1x Plasma.
    Step 3 : CTF

    5 minutes
    Core cannot be reset.


    Spartans Load-outs :
    1. Marksman : DMR, Magnum, Sprint, 1x Frag.
    2. Assassin : Magnum, Assault Rifle, Active Camo, 1x Frag.
    3. Operator : Shotgun, Magnum, Drop Shield, 1x Frag.
    4. Grenadier : Grenade Launcher, Magnum, Hologram, 1x Frag.
    5. Spec Ops : DMR, Assault Rifle, Evade, 1x Frag.

    Elites Load-outs:
    1. Ranger : Plasma Reapeter, Plasma Pistol, Jet Pack, 1x Plasma.
    2. Royal Zealot : Needle Rifle, Needler, Evade, 1x Plasma.
    3. Champion : Concussion Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Active Camo, 1x Plasma.
    4. Gladiator : Energy Sword, Plasma Repeater, Hologram, 1x Plasma.
    5. Sentry : Needle Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Drop Shield, 1x Plasma.
    Elites will have a advantage under water due to this circle flag near the reticule which appears when ther is an enemy at a close distance.

    Elites Spawn: In the city :p

    Spartans Spawn : a dubious remake of the Stargate room ^^.

    Spartans have to cross the door

    To reach their first objective, a territory :

    A one-way shield was added to prevent elites from enter in the spartan base because it was too annoying during the tests...

    Then, once the territory captured, bomb ojective !

    The bomb have to be planted there :

    Once the bom went off, you can have acces to the room where is located the core.​

    You will have to bring it to base to win.​

    That's all for invasion ! ^^​


    So... Infection mode... It is a just a scenery change (or a light change at least)​

    We may wonder if sight is better under water ^^.​

    There are of course a lot of kill zones in infection mode to prevent humans to stay on the roofs.​

    And that's all for infection ;).​

    A wall will appear in all modes which are not Invasion to bloc access to the stargate.​

    Try the Crazy king gametype, this is pretty sweet ;)

    For the weapons : there is 1 Rocket-launcher, 1 Grenade-launcher, 2 Sniper Rifles, 2 Shotguns, 2 Needle Rifles, 4 DMRs.​
