You all aren't thinking in the big picture. The whole point of the fin was to get the "baton" handed off. Everyone's death (sans Kat's) was a pice of the path towards the ultimate purpose of noble team.
You probably should've stayed off of the internet or at the very least, forums like this if you didn't want to be spoiled. I do feel terrible for you though, the campaign is epic. Spoiler I heard someone say online that if you survive the FINAL final on legendary for 15 frickin' minutes you get a different ending. I haven't done any research into this so the were probably pulling my leg, but it'd be cool if Jun came back and rescued you after his escort mission... Idk what I'm saying.
The corvette exploded so I don't think he made it, and for the noble 6 thing I meant like hes a rookie in the team as in he's new to the team, my bad if I didn't clarify well
I go through new posts opening the first 5-10 threads in new tabs without reading their thread titles a lot, which is what I was doing at the time. I guess I need to slow down a bit, haha.
Do you read thread titles before you read the OP? And even if you overlooked the *spoiler* in the htread title, there is still a Spoiler in this text. And even if you overlooked that you could have stopped reading? xD I don't think your keyboard works
Even if the thread didn't have "spoiler" in the title then "What I Found meh and LOL" should have been enough to tell you to keep away! In fact, you should just stay away from most forums until you do complete it! Anyways. I liked Noble Team. They're professional when doing their job, they know how to work together but I loved how they nearly all came across as hating each other! Much better than the ODST characters who you could believe would all hang out and have a good time after work. Noble Team would probably be glad to get away from it all!
I might have to replay the missions again to clarify. At first I didn't understand why Jorge had to sacrifice himself but it was for the good for the team and overall the mission. I didn't like Kat's death as it was unexpected and I expected she would of died in the line of duty or piloting or driving a vehicle or something. But this quote... Which is true but makes no sense if Kat was killed with a single needle rifle shot, if there were a Beam Rifle in the game she should of died from that. Jun: I don't know... He could of survived with the doctor. Carter's death was for the survival of Six and Emile and for the mission, I liked it. Emile's death was epic, went down killin'. It was expected as they were being overrun as pretty much only Six and Emile were alive. Six was awesome, that helmet break was cool to see and I did feel that it was the end, you're gonna die but try to survive as long as you can and go down with a bang. What would of been awesome if Six grabbed a plasma grenade and stuck himself or one of the Elites taking them all out. It's so cool re-watching the cut-scenes with new armor and/or colors.
He was rated Hyper Deadly. Same as Master Chief. Also, its spelled Jorge. His death was epic. Kat's death was lame. She frigging gets shot in the head by a friggin needler needle once and she dies when you can take at least 6 to the head. Emiles Death made sense, probably the most. He got stabbed, simple enough. Carters Death, pretty cool. But one flaw, why didn't he jump out while flying into the scarab. He could of set it up so he'd have enough time. Also, he could survive the fall damage. Noble 6, his death was the best in the end. But, if he destroyed all of the enemies while Autumn was still docked then why didn't he just get in? Jun, nobody knows what happenned to him. Side note on Jorge: I believe it is really friggin funny when he throws you out the ship. I think your character should say in that cutscene "Jorge! You know there's fall damage in this game, right!?" Jorge says "OH ****! I'M SORRY!" Or in like a title at the bottom of the screen like where you see it in new checkpoints. It should say this "I guess Fall Damage is negated in Cutscene" or this "Jorge must of forgotten that this wasn't halo 3."
Jun most likely lived. Order in my opinion from least epic to most: Kat- Worst death ever. Most unrealistic. If that was true, the Spartans would be dead in the matter of a few seconds. Jorge- Noble sacrifice. Thought he was saving Reach, he went down fighting. The hilarious part was him just grabbing you and throwing you out of the ship. Emile- Holding off Elites. His death, being stabbed in the back, was a very realistic way to die. Carter- I F***ing loved it. Watching him turn around his Pelican and ramming it into the Scarab. My favorite sacrifice. Noble Six- His was pretty epic. Holding off all of those elites. Each death was defending Reach, except for Kat's. She was just running away from the enemies. Jun was defending Halsey, so I see how he lived.
Kat died because a big needle went through her head. Radiation eats energy shields too that's why the shot got through. I can't bring myself to believe Jorge is dead, maybe he just slipspaced to a random area, he might as well be dead though. He was the best character imo.
Jorge is dead. He ripped open a hole in our dimmension, and transported himself into oblovion. Trust me, he's dead. Even if he had transported it to a destination, a spartan can't survive slip space.
Contrary to a lot of people, Kat's death is my favorite. It served as a great narrative turn and showed just how vulnerable even spartans are. It didn't follow the epic death cliche and was incredibly sudden. The scene that followed after with the slower music and the spartans silent as they carry Kat's body away show the relationship between the team giving the spartans more human qualities. My second favorite death of a noble team member would definetly be Noble 6's. When the piano music started playing at the perfect time as the Objective "survive" popped up on the screen, I was actually stunned for a moment knowing this was the end. Watching yourself taking on the dozen elites in hand to hand was an epic way to go out as well. Next I would probably say is Carter's death. When Emile says "You don't have the firepower", Carter replies with "I've got the mass." it shows how even though he and Noble Team have always been outgunned they've never been outmatched. Jorge's as most people have already commented died in an honorable sacrifice. He gave his life thinking he was saving his home planet and Dr. Halsey but that obviously wasn't the case. Still, it does show themes like sacrifice which is good to see in a story like Reach's. Emile... I never really liked him as a character to begin with, but I suppose he did die the way I expected him to- fighting. Very well executed story IMO, I think Bungie achieved the darker grittier story they promised.
