i click download and it takes me to home plus I added you as a friend on xbox one and it said you was offline
It's not possible to download Halo 5 maps through Forgehub. The 'Download Map' button is just a placeholder until 343 makes downloading maps online possible. You can download maps in Halo 5. Once you have the forger added as a friend, locate them in your roster within Halo 5 and press A. Go down to 'Map Variants' and press A again. The file you're looking for will be under either 'Bookmarks' or 'Files'. You can download content even if the person is offline. Hope that helps.
