i believe that elites have a slight bigger model so they are easier to hit. harder to get a headshot on them from behind though
I play as spartan always, just because I hate looking at the elites in game rofl. I don't mind them outside like when you are customizing your guy.
Personally I play as A spartan and my girlfriend plays as elite she likes the arbiter but thats only cause she had to play him through the campaign methinks
In Halo 2, Elites had giant head which made them easier to get headshots on. In Halo 3 however, it dosen't matter if you get pwned by an Elite or Spartan, I'm torn between the two.
I like both because first...Spartans have many times of armor you can use, just more then elites. Elites already look good at the default status in my opinion XD. Spartan....eh..I dun really like Mark 6 XDD. So yea I can use any of the two I just prefer a customed Spartan over a customed Elite XD
I tend to switch from my ODST spartan (right-HAYABUSA, left-EVA, chest-EVA) to the flight elite. In Halo 3, the different models don't matter at all besides aesthetics, it doesn't affect gameplay. at least thats what bungie says.
I think I would be more inclined to be Elite more often if they had more armor options. I don't know why they don't get something special like maby..... Arbitor armor? Anyway my favorite helmet, Spartan or Elite, is the CQB... one of the ones you get by default.
Either way is fine for me. I dont play as elites though because they always fall in really wierd/disgusting positions, like on their backs with their legs spread wide open.....yea, not pretty. Elites look sick and have funny death screams, but i just hate how when they die they land in such disgusting positions... So, im a spartan. (but you could see that below)
I can play really good as an elite but I tend to die less when I'm a spartan. So I usually go with Spartan, but the ascetic helmet on an elite is pretty badass :squirrel_rocking:
I only go with spartan because of increased customizability, but I may change to Elite after I unlock more elite armour permutations...
I think they're both equally awesome. I am currently playing as a Spartan, but its only because I played as an Elite for awhile before now! When I play as a Spartan, I wear Security helmet, Katana armor and Security shoulders. When I play as an Elite, I wear the Commando helmet, Flight armor and Ascetic shoulders (but will use Commando shoulders when the AU1 patch is released).
