Hey i was just wondering if anybody liked the idea of a skybox (like in sandbox) but in space in Reach's orbit. I think that would be some pretty damn cool forge dlc. Maybe bungie could even start it off by making a space station or something there much like how foundry was introduced. Anyways i think it would be a cool aesthetic change to forgehub :)

The idea sounds sweet, I think they should make a map in Space like a Space Station where you can forge inside of it. The inside should look like Foundry but bigger, more items, and better aesthetics.

Can't you forge outside of Zealot? I thought that was in space 0.o but I don't think you'd be able to build much

If I remember correctly I saw somewhere that there is part of a map that has the characteristics of the piece of Halo 2 where you are outside the hull of Cairo

A large, zero-gee-only environment be a really awesome map, so hopefully Bungie will add it in DLC.

Thats a sick idea for sure.

If it was just a blank area, well not totally blank it would have like a little spacestation or something like you said, but you could make it blank.

It would be cool if it had just grid all around the designated part of space you were able to forge. Like ALL sides. So you could just float stuff and you wouldn't et confused.

It would have a bunch of space station parts and maybe like a little car or elevator that goes back and fourth between the parts of the station. As for vehicles, probably not any except for the elevator thing, idk.

But Bungie probably wont do it cause its like the waterfall thing on ForgeWorld, if you put a piece under it, it doesnt react with the water, thats why you cant manipulate it to go somewhere else like an irigation system.

Same goes for teh gravity in space. If you were to put a space station and forge it so it would be sealed off, the gravity still would'nt change.

unless... they made different pieces that would have gravity changes already made with them like the whole Zealot map, with the purple barriers you pass through and the grav changes. Possible.

Yeah, the new Covenant themed map Zealot has a 'low-gee' environment much akin to that tiny, yet epic portion of the Halo 2 campaign. This space (pun intended) includes: altered sound effects (vacuum esque/muffled) and of course lowered gravity. Since we will be able to fight there, we will be able to forge there, how much space we will be allowed out there, we will probably have to wait and see.

Wouldn't it be incredible to have a Forge World type map, set entirely in space, and it started off with zero gravity and you could change it to however you set fit?

I made a thread about a space box on zealot, the idea was crushed and then went onto the discussion of possible DLC maps.

TBH with you, I think the physics of it would not work well for a map coz the physics would keep movable items active, therefore lagging the map. That's why there are little to none on zealot.

i think it would be awesome to be able to make fully indoor levels, maybe even the option to add buttons on the levels (stations) to turn on and off gravity, or just to have a complete indoor and outdoor zero g effect. The possibilities are endless but the execution seems painstaking. If i was a bungie employee and read this i would probably wet myself. (to me it just seems really hard to make an entire space-box with manipulated effects and to make sure gameplay is balanced at the same time) Although I still think its an awesome idea :D
