Space Duel is a revolutionary map that technically "defies" gravity and all logic. Space Duel is a floating map above the map "Blackout" that you will find in the new Legendary Map Pack. This map can get very intense at times. It supports all of the game types and allows for a near endless amount of fun and game play. Space Duel features two bases that are perfect for any team based game, nevertheless, Space Duel comfortably fits in non-team games like slayer and oddball. You will not regret downloading this map, its perfect for impressing your friends and passing it off as your own. See you on Space Duel! Here is a link to down load it!. Please comment on it and rate it! Thanks http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?postID=20001358 And here is a link to a video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bataCeSOlnU
You really ought to have more pictures. As for the map, it looks fairly simple and basic, perhaps a little more could be added...
yea looks sick. someone should take this one and my botomfeeders and put them together to one huge map. it would look sick and make it possible to have like btb on this map. if any1 wants ot use my map for it though they have my permision.
People do it all the time. The thing is, if it is in mid-air it makes it a lot harder to create with saving/quiting technique.
true true It must just be me then and i'm not saying NOONE uses interlocking on the new maps its just that i have only seen a few maps, maybe its because the items are different colors and such which makes them still look whole, as compared to foundrys same boxes, where interlocking makes it look like one big box/item
Sorry man, but it really doesn't look all that unique. Floating has been around for a long time, I'm surprised you still claim it as "revolutionary". You might try interlocking though- that on the other hand is revolutionary.
I don't get it. Even if you put grav-lifts, wouldn't the invisible barrier still push you down? How'd you get past that? Oh, and from the video, it looks pretty crooked, especially the bridge.
Looks neat, I like the fact that you took advantage of the 'super foundry/blackout glitch" (once you get out of the barrier, you got a huge empty space thats bigger than foundry that you can forge in, of course you have to make floating platforms to forge here because its still air, you cant die here unless you fall, theres still a death barrier srounding this huge empty space.) I do see a crooked wall here and there, but it looks nice, good job with the saving and quiting to make the boxes float there. Bravo.
Of course there's interlocking, people just dont do it for some reason, their loss. If you dont interlock, then don't expect a lot of downloads and good reviews.
Interlocking? Ok you keep saying interlocking. This is the second map I have made. So what is interlocking and how do you do it? Im sorry I am not a pro forger lol Edit: Sorry If it simple. We were left with almost no money and we used all the double boxes. So it is not like there could have been more. We were going for a fun simple symmetric map. And thats what we got. Edit: If we used interlocking, the map would have been even smaller and it is hard for me to get every thing perfect while floating way above the map.
Im not sure of this map it looks cool but there are a lot of maps with floating things in the air. Im also not sure about the pics and it would be cool if interlocking was used i just cant see it here.
i like the way the map looks. you didn't interlock but at least the platform itself is leveled out unlike some other maps where the floor of the floating base was all crooked and just rushed. a few walls seem to be crooked which you can fix in forge like in 10 to 20 min. all in all , good job
The boxes could use interlocking (I know that's a pain). Some of the walls are crooked. A weapon list would be nice. More pictures. A description. I noticed a teleporter above the map, is it possible for people to go back onto the original Blackout? I would block that off. Game types available for the map?
