I'm not that into Photoshop and Illustrator, since I'm not that good or anything. But this is something I've managed to make out of boredom. I have no clue what else to add onto it though, so suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Constructive criticism would be awesome too. Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase?
The ends kind of remind me of blades? Maybe add a SWORD lol Maybe add a thin line sort of cutting the canvas in half? It's really up to you. I'm thinkin' color too. But the way you have it looks good as is

I forgot to add that, this is a "test" logo for my new band. I still have lots to learn about this kind of stuff. But thanks for the advice!
If this is a logo, You should be careful choosing the logo depending on what you will play, you might want to choose a characteristic image to recognize your band but keeping something related to its music, for example look at the classic logo of the rolling stones, everybody recognizes that mouth and is easy to know them, AC/DC haves a simple thunder that makes everyone know them, Metallica has that special tipography with sharpen edges, Slayer haves a logo that is easy to recognize because the "S" causes a lot of controversy, but if your band plays some indie rock or progressive, you might not want that your band gets recognized because your "S" looks like a **** simbol, and if you will play Death Metal you might not want them to recognize you with a flower. This logo looks really nice but it depends on your needs, in this one you can add something like a background and give the logo some textures in Photoshop
