For those who haven't heard Xbox is recycling gamertags from the original Xbox. So a bunch became available today and over the next day. I have officially begun to drop my ego filled history from when I was 19-21ish... I have changed my gamertag to my name "Ray Benefield". I'm not worried about the name as many software engineers market themselves as their name and we all survive. With the work I'm doing on CAPI it just makes sense to change it now that the gamertag has become available. it also matches my Twitter. Any other changes out there? I've seen several today. Perhaps we can all nag @WARHOLIC to change our FH account names as well. And for me specially he could merge my old AZN FTW account to this one. I can dream right?
i'd change mine to "Pissed Off Brit" but it's already taken. personally i prefer to keep personal life and online life separate so having my gamertag as my IRL would defeat the purpose and would also make it much easier for people to track me down if they choose to.
A long time ago on Bungie.net I realized that if I were to post on another account, I'd be free of the stigma associated with this name, but also get a fraction of the attention. So I'm staying with this. It's infamous.
I thought I would get the original 'WARHOLIC' so that the 'O' isn't a zero anymore but its still in use...
I've had mine for about 4 years now and I wouldn't change it because I prefer to be called by my name rather than a random set of words like @A 3 Legged Goat or @A Haunted Army. @Max Extra knows where it's at
Everyone calls me Goat. Some people who know my real name still call me Goat. Even when i have a different screen name, people will call me Goat. Hell, my girlfriend says Im her Goat. I can't escape.

Originally i wanted my name to be Sargent Colton (yes i was young and didn't know how to spell Sergeant lol.) AND IT WAS TAKEN, so i did Sargent Colton1 Later on i tried changing to General Colton But that was also taken, so i settled with General Colton1. Now im Agent Zero85 my history of GT changes. I bet you however, that in the future gamertags are scarce, and they will start recycling 360 gts and One gts lol. THE GT APOCALYPSE IS HAPPENING.
Yeah, I would never change mine. If I did anything I would just try one of the many gamertags that were already available. Such as The Incredible Bulk
If I hadn't stuck with this name that I've had since 7th grade for so long, I probably would have tried to change it. But at this point, so many of my accounts online use this name, there's really no point. Although, maybe I should try grabbing TheDarkPrince, if it's available. @D4rkpr1nc3 There can be only one!
LOL max isnt my real name, just a pitiful 6th grade attempt at making a runescape name, but not its alias i go by just about everywhere.
I think what I've subconsciously done though is use a different name depending on what console i'm playing. So between Xbox, PS4, PC and 3DS, I have 4 different online screen names.
Checked for "Preacher" when I heard about this, but to no avail. Not that it matters, because there is no chance in Hell (get it) that I will ever get this GT wherever I go, since apparently Preacher is a seriously chased GT. Even Preacher001 is taken half of the time now.
