Cars are not a necessity, we've lived more than hundreds of years without them, we can abide now. Which are caused from human error, not cars. Smoking kills every time, cars are a much safer choice.
In the Declaration of Independence it says something about protecting the rights of the people. So how is giving basicall "killing" them (by giving them cigarettes) protecting their rights.Theres a right on life or death right?
I know they aren't but the way America and other developed nations are, they sure as hell make everything a lot easier. But if you feel like riding a bike everyday, go for it. edit after I saw MLG's post: Well to I would think all smokers, its relaxing to have a cigarette after work or whatever. I'm not a smoker (I never would smoke), but that's what most smokers tell me.
First of all, no technology is needed for transportation, use your legs for once. Second of all, stay on the topic of the debate.
But it becomes addicting. You may start having one after work. Then realize your doing it in work. The realize its befor,in,and after work. Then all the time.
I use my legs a lot, but have fun walking or riding a bike 30 miles to work or school, since many people do that...hence, cars. Humans never did that before cars, but they do now. The topic moved to cars for a bit, but cigarettes was still the main focus. It was merely a counter argument to things people do that kill themselves edit: People haven't been using cars for thousands of years, but they have been smoking for a very long time.
Cars don't kill if everyone was a good driver and followed the laws. Smoking kills even if its a good perosn or a bad person,it doesn't discriminate.
But everyone isn't a good driver. You could put all the speed limits at 25 miles an hour and people would still wreck and kill themselves and others. I think we should just squash this argument, it's pointless to argue about cars, they kill people just like cigarettes. It's a bit off topic also.
So you're saying that we should kill people, seeing as they're using those darn cars to kill people? They do not kill people 'just like cigarettes', it's a completely different thing. You are right, though, it is a bit off topic.
What? Both kill people. Yes its human error for car crashes, but its going to happen as long as we use cars.
Yes we can prevent them but they will still happen. This argument is going no where-people die from cigarettes from their own choice, most people die from car crashes with their own choice of not wearing a seat belt or driving drunk. Someone just bring a different argument to the table.
I must admit, you bring a very good point to the table. Still, though, smoking is guaranteed to kill you whilst refusing to wear a seat belt is an unfortunate possibility, at worst. This is one reason cigarettes are still being made, if the companies were just 'shut down', many people would be out of jobs. People must kill others to feed themselves and their families.
Don't you think thats a little over the top?Still it would be the best choice,or just stop providing nicotine in the cigarettes.
