Thought I'd share all the overheads I work on in this thread. My intention is that over time this will become an archive of map layouts from which designs can easily be documented, hopefully providing a source of inspiration and insight into the way we perceive and plan maps. I'll update this thread as and when I finish drawings, feel free to contact me if you want to see a layout of your own presented as an overhead image!
For real tho, that's one of the things I liked about mcc. Sweaty top downs of maps that I know and love in ways I've never seen before. Opened up my eyes for how I draw out my own (they're usually pretty closed because WEEEEEEEEEED)
Ight, so these are the overheads for the ground and first floor of my Infection map "inflection". Key: Lime Square: lift Orange Arrow: Direction and trajectory of lift Medium Blue with no diagonal lines: Glass Grey with no diagonal lines: Solid Wall Orange sections: Ramps (diagonal line colour reflects the area the ramp inclines towards) Red areas are the very bottom, then leading to pink, purple, violet, dark blue, light blue, turquoise and green being the very topmost sections.
