SKYDIVE CONVOYTrue Big Team Tactical Map for Sandtrap. "My name is ManRayX and I'm an Obsessive Compulsive Forge-aholic" I love Big Team Battle games. What I hated about them was up until just recently they were in the social games hopper. So even if your team had it together you were usually up against a bunch of uncoordinated nubes which didn't make for much of a competitive game. So that's why I started creating Big Team Customs for my regular custom games clan. The first one I'm posting is the groups favorite. A true strategic objectives game where team play is key. In Skydive Convoy the VIP is the field general. NOTE: Before you go any further... This is a big team (at least 12 players) map, and requires teams to work together. If you like runnin and gunnin you will like this map, but it requires some strategy. THE GAME:The Vip drives the Elephant with two tanks in a Convoy on a 5 point Vip Escort run with multiple ambush points. The Ambush Team are given Hornets and a Warthog Gauss, but must defend against loads of anti-aircraft on the Elephant the two tanks, and a late spawning Banshee. Convoy has to reach 5 goal points or Ambush Team has to kill 5 Vips to win. Tactical error. Don't think your safe in the Hornet. Use it to provide air cover and to transport the ambush team. It's your best odds at actually killing the Vip. Stick with the convoy. Use the Elephant as cover for incoming air attacks. Your a sitting duck in the open field. THE CONVOY TEAM Protect the Vip at all costs. Forced color white the Vip has NO shields and can only sustain 10% damage. He will drive in a barricaded Elephant cockpit that can only be accessed from above. The boxes that shield the Elephant cockpit will provide some protection... ...but its up to the Vip teamates to continually drop bubble shields on the cockpit to protect the Vip. The bubble shield may protect you from Hornets but not from a stealth attack. THE VIP: The Vip is the leader. He has a 150 meter range on his motion tracker and can early warn of impending attacks. He spawns with a Shotgun and a Sword. VIP TRAITS: >No Shields >10% Damage Resistance >Infinite Ammo >Grenade Regeneration >Instant Kill THE VIP TEAMATES: They are forced color orange have normal ability and spawn with Rockets and Battle Rifles. If defenders stay within 15 meters of the Vip (Vip Influence) they will have enhanced ability and shields. VIP INFLUENCE: >2X Overshields >200% Damage Resistance >200% Faster Shield Recharge >50% Shield Vampire >110% Damage Infliction VEHICLES AND WEAPONS: ***VIP ESCAPE HATCH***Due to a cool glitch from barricading the Elephant cockpit. If you disengage from driving it pushes you through the cockpit wall and out in front of the Elephant. I placed an overshield just inside so the Vip has a chance to get back in the cockpit. AMBUSH TEAM: The ambush team is forced color brown has normal ability and spawns with Battle and Assault Rifles. This might seem unfair but consider all you need is one well thrown grenade or rocket shot near the Elephant Cockpit to kill the Vip. Ambush Team Base Hornets and Rockets and Gauss' oh my... TACTICS: It's called Skydive Convoy. Use distractions and natural cover to bring the Hornets high above the convoy and drop a little assasination squad from the sky. Hint: Get the convoy moving right away decide in the lobby who is taking the tanks and if your the Vip get the Elephant moving fast the ambush team will be on you in moments. Jam a Warthog in front of the Elephant it will considerably slow the convoy down. Barbecue anyone? Valley of Death. Raining fusion cores will wreak havoc on both teams. Vip Nightmare. This would seem hopeless but all players respawn with 2 seconds of 2000% Damage Resistance and 4X overshields. This will give defenders a chance at putting a rocket on an attacking Hornet. I cant help but think you went a bit over the top on the weapons and vehicles, but the idea is definately there, and your presentation was excellent.
All my Maps are over the top... seriously this map has been extensively playtested and super competitive. Weapons and vehicles were switched out numerous times to get the right balance and spawn frequency. >Thanks Coldfear keep an eye out for my next big team map SPREAD EAGLE on Standoff. Man I bet the games are really intense in this map and gametype. I like how you actually went away from the mainstream of using sandtrap instead of Foundry like most people. I myself am A HUGE fan of Big Team Battle.I like the whole objective based feel of it also. You executed your map very well. Overall a really exciting and fun map/gametype to play. *two thumbs way up*

this map is awsome try to play with minimum 6 players because the more the marrier! this map is pure choas its awsome and im like you dude a forge-aholic :squirrel_rocking:
AMAZING!!!!!!! It's like you created another gametype. We tried it 8vs8 and it was kickass. as the ambush team we flew hornets and dropped our guys from high altitude on the convoy. It looks super cool and was competitive once we played it twice
this map looks awsome! I cant wait to play... I love the use of hornets, a lot of sand trap maps use them, but they never play a real role like i think they will in this game Great job, ill get back to u once ive played it
