Skirmish OK now for something besides King of the Hill. Here is my first Slayer map. Its 4 levels of rooms and towers. 1 lower level, the base level, 3 towers, and the sniper over look. The lower level is what makes the arena in the King of the Hill map. THis map is both symmetrical and asymmetrical the lower level is symmetrical and the 3 upper levels are asymmetrical. This is a opinion but, the jet pack is probably the most useful armor ability you can use but hey, its a opinion. I...Love..this map. I knew I did when I first saw it. I also like the hammer room and the tunnels leading to it. Now, down to business. You did a great job at forging it. It is mostly (99%) smooth and would go good for slayer. I have a few suggestions for you. Try adding more gametypes, rather than just slayer. Gametypes such as: such as assault, one flag, stockpile, headhunter, etc. Try adding a colour scheme/special effect to try making the map have a unique appearance. Mess around a bit and mix colours together. I hope you listen to my suggestions. If you don't no worries. Until next time, -MattV01
I too love this map I love buildings, so this map appeals greatly. I also love the floating hammer - Nice touch I agree completely with MattVO1, and would like to add my own suggestion = Fuel Rod Cannons have a tendency to lag up customs with their slow moving projectiles.mI would highly recommend replacing it with rockets
This map looks great for slayer, but more game types would be greatly appreciated. Everything looks great but some type of colour scheme would give it its own unique feel, and also boost the aesthetics. [warning] By placing a weapon on "fixed" floating in he air it can cause one major issue: If you pick up a weapon that was placed floating in air or "stuck" to a wall, when you pick it up then replace it with another weapon, it will float in place and you will not be able to pick it up again. If you do switch weapons and it is floating there, it counts as a solid object meaning; you might accidentally block a door way with it making a room inaccessible, or trapping yourself in it until the weapon disappears. Great map, all in all.
Thank you for all the input. I'll release a v2 with more game types that can be played on it and about the floating hammer, it does that in forge not in custom games. I test it last night, it floats but you can still pick it back up in custom games. But thanks for the input anyway.
