I know a lot of people out there make sketchups and just put them aside to never be seen again, either because they are bad at forge, don't have the patience, or just make the maps on sketchup to kill some time. You know, I'm still interested in making that map if it's still open. If I take the time, I can merge things flawlessly and it will look great in the end. I can get some friends to help me too.
Has anyone found a way to get sketchup to run properly on x64 Windows 7? Mines runs incredibly slow. Turning off textures will help it run better, but it runs just fine in vista x64?
Is there a limit to the amount of pics? This map is rotationally symmetrical, the map itself is relatively simple, but I'm very sure that the map flows well, there are no isolated structure that don't link to anything in particular. There are long and short lines of sight, and a very simple but aesthetically pleasing centrepiece, please advise me on weapon placement, as I cannot make many maps, let alone test them, due to being grounded. Anyways, I have seven pics, if you need more views, don't hesitate to let me know. Hierarchy by Xylom I made this over about 6 hours, my first experiance in sketchup. I personally think it is asthetically pleasing but there is alot of geomerging. Some things you should know: On the side bases there is supposed to be a mancannon shooting players onto the sniper platform for some RvR fun. I might have used to many large ramps and/or large columns. I love this kind of thread. I absolutely love sketchup but i suck at it. I love people that are good at it tah can give good designs. thanks for the thread. cant wait to see what people cook up
I think this thread needs a little bump, because its a good little thread, and deserves some more views so BUMP!!!!

C'mon people there has to be more of you with SketchUp, or need inspiration for a map? This is the place to go when you have no idea what sort of map you are going to make, you can start with any of these ideas and either expand on them, or tweak them to suit your needs.
