Hello there, this is my preview for my map, Singlarity. Singlarity is created on Foundry with many smooth and connected abstract pieces which together, I think, creates a cool layout. You've definantly got some nice stuff going on here. It might just be me, but I personally don't like all the strange angles, though. It just looks messier when done on foundry. So far, the map looks incredibly open, but it's just a preview, so keep working at it.
Im pretty sure a preview means it is not finished yet... I think. The map looks great and I love the designs. THe interlocking and merging look great. Seems like it would be a fast moving type of gameplay. Great job so far.
- All the arc structures look very sloppy, like you ghost merged them without lining them up properly. - I dislike the accessible Fence Box. Being able to be on both sides of a Fence or Fence box creates an unfair shooting match up. This is because bullets in Halo passing through a fence are extremely inconsistent. You could kill somebody with one shot of a sniper or you could waste a clip without harming them. My point being that the fence box platform will create an abnormal combat environment. - From the pictures, the fence walls in the arc structrure look awful. - This map is way, way, way, too open on the floor. From what I can see, it's basically blank Foundry with some aesthetic arcs. So basically, it looks like you just had fun with ghost merging without any kind of design or ahead of time planning.
first off, the fence boxes you are talking about are at most 3 feet off the ground, therefore they wouldn't be shooting that lowly. Secondly, it is a preview meaning i'm trying to get ideas for what could make the map less open. and as far as sloppy goes, you will have to explain it in a forge game with me.
I hate to further burst your balls, but there have been at least 3 other maps on the forum(s) named Vanquish. I'm just giving you a heads up so you won't be left with an unoriginal name. Cute arches, btw.
Lol. I've already seen a few maps named singularity. One of them was a racetrack here on forgehub I think. Here's a few names from my personal list you can choose from. Nitrate Hermetic Binary Pulsar Osmos Distance Velocity Pursuit I have a massive list of map names, here are a few I'm willing to share. PM me if you want anymore suggestions.
Has a real good look too it, but i have to agree. I'm sure its just the angles but it looks a little off to me. Lining **** up with ghost merge is hard **** man. Anyway the fence box walkway looks really smexy. As for the openness, maybe some small structures. Adding some second stories would be a nice addition, it'd force players out of open area's and into the aesthetic areas that you want them to play on.
