Sigul Flag Bomb Slayer Sigul was one of my first Main-Level Sandbox maps. It is based off Relic, the map from Halo 2, and is meant for Flag, Bomb (One-sided and Symmetrical for both), and Slayer games. A long while after making the map i came back to it to practice Geo-Merging on Sandbox. It was my first time Merging on the map, so it's a little sloppy, but it works well. What is it about these forges these days? look at this post, with normal font size and takingout the pictures. this pst i personaly dont think is up to sanderds but that's just what i think. So any way i think that this map is nice and p but in a good way this map oks even and well spred. nothing to powerfull any where. fairly good but im not sure about how fun this map will be. I'll download it later and ry it out to see how fun it is.
What is the post lacking? I gave a description of the map and some pictures. The Atlas link has three videos of game play. Aside from a weapon layout, i cant think of anything else that would even be useful. Also, why does the post matter that much?
Wow, I almost cried when you said based off of relic, just for the fact that I've been working on a relic remake for over a month, albeit mine isn't an accurate remake and is more of a reimagining of it in ways. But your map does a decent job of capturing the feel of relic, but one question before I play on it, is the defenders flag in the same position as in the original?
This is pretty far from being a Relic remake, it just has a similar center structure. As for the Flag, i dont know where Relic's spawns, but on Sigul the defender's flag spawns in the larger center base. Thanks for commenting.
This map look pretty good, aesthetically speaking. I really like how you merged the blocks into the sand, it makes it seem more natural, which is always a plus for me. I might check it out...
Thanks, ONEARM. Geo merging takes a bit to get the hang of, but after the first few tries it becomes a little easier, and without it i couldnt have the rocket and turret structures the way they are. It may make stuff look nice, but it can also be amazing for smoothing out game play.
Aaah, you remind me of me. Good job with the map, your first merge was pretty successful. Although you're not some sick forger who gets five maps featured. Although I think that a map like this could easily get onto Bungie's favorites, because I've really seen alot worse on Bungie's favorites than this. A map remake with some additives and pretty clever landmarks, nice; concept 8/10. The layout of the whole map is done fairly well, but I see that it's probably only good for team games. The merged spots look fairly decent, too. So I'll give your designing an 8.5/10. As far as the crafting, not too shabby. You really look like you made a decent effort to finish this and refurbish it. So I'll give your crafting skill an 8/10. Overall I'd say this map deserves an 8.5/10. Good job on your part.
EAKLE I LOVE YOUR BEASTY-NESS.. anyway, great dude! This has gone along way since i first saw it.. I love the base with the warthog and how you used the banshee base to not be the main point of domination. Good job with the template
Thanks havok! I think when you last played this it was still just the two bases with random cover around them. That was a long while ago. the base with the warthog is pretty nifty looking. I have no clue what you mean by "Banshee base". Was there a banshee here the last time you played it?
