This is my first map I made in Halo Reach. I am a sucker for epic attack & defend scenarios so I merged a few of my old map ideas from Far Cry into one idea here. A dock, a boat and a HUUGE wall! You figure out the rest. I have the custom gametype that makes it play as intended in the file set of the map and linked here as well SCREENSHOTS: •Map Overview •Dock/Frigate •Frigate Close-up •Frigate Missile Batteries •Frigate Interior •Frigate Gauss Cannon / Elite Fortress •Scorpion held by Crane (Is usable but not drivable) •Front Gate (Fusion coils drop from the sky) •Upon Detonation, the Front Gate opens •The Dish Core (It has a mine under it - BE CAREFUL! •Map Overview 2
everything about this map is awesome. nice missiles, really good layout. even thought the bridge is ordinary, it still looks awesome. Does the scorpion tank have a line of sight that it can shoot? other wise i recommend turning the crane because it can be anti vehicle. downloadin
Yes the scorpion has a line of sight to the frigate and the fortress wall. Attackers get to it by teleporting on top of the crane and the defenders can jetpack to it.
I too, am a fan of huge scale attack and defend style maps, so this, is perfect! I love all the aesthetics, the platform for the crane, the missile launchers by the falcon, the design of the boat, everything! I will am downloading this as I speak (well, type, but you know what I mean). Congrats on such an epic creation. This truly is a good example of the new standards set by Halo Reach Forge.
I noticed alot of people arent downloading the gametype with this map. It WILL NOT play correctly without it so there is no point in having the map by itself except for slayer variants. Just FYI.
There are 2 weapons on fixed mode in the Frigate Interior. I'm not sure if you're aware but only the connection host can pick up fixed/phased weapons.
There is a very easy way to remedy this. Hover over the weapon in question and without grabbing it press X. Change them to normal and back out of the menu. As long as you don't grab them, they will remain floating on the wall and then they will behave as a normal weapon would once you pick them up in a game. Hope that helps
Wow thanks for pointing this out to me! I am submitting this to the invasion forgetacular so I'll be sure to get that fixed. Any other issues you found?
