I like Longbow and wanted to make it a 4v4 map instead of 8v8. So I blocked off the red base (where red team spawns), blue base (where blue team spawns) and bravo, the base that is higher up in the middle. I redid weapons and spawns etc to better fit 4v4 or 5v5. Before I take any flack for the borders let me just say there isn't enough one way shield doors or wall pieces. So i had to utilize dominion base shields and kill zones. I think the map should play flag well. Plz let me know what you think, I appreciate the input. enjoy

This is why I wish that all maps were forge capable. Ilike the idea of this, but I don't like that there is no aesthetic or great way to block off sections of the map.

@given to fly, i know exactly what you mean. the wall pieces you can actually use are tiny. i figured dominion shields were better than just soft kill zones leading into instant kill zones. it is a shame bc there are a lot of usable bases and terrain in some of the larger maps.

Main reason is the game would lag ass (framerate/FPS) if you add much of anything to the default maps, so it's very limited. Default maps just have too much detail already, usually. In Halo 4 that is... back in Halo 3 the engine could handle a lot more, since it didn't push Xbox to the limits of it's hardware.

Adrift is probably the most forgeable non forge environment. I have a forge map on every environment. I found that using terminal lights is the best way to mark off sections of btb maps. sorta like the halo 3 boundless

hmm i didn't think about terminal lights. i'll have to look into that. i put the dominion shields at 1 sec respawns but they still seem to take a few seconds to respawn. i figured they would prevent vehicles from driving outside the boundaries and i didn't want to make soft kill immediately at the borders of the map bc then they get exploited. less altitude limitations i prefer hard boundaries.

but i actually did some customs 3v3 on the map yest and i thought it played fairly well. but then again since i made it i prob would.

i find it seemingly difficult to decide which primary weapons to put on a map. i figure most people are br or dmr so i end up excluding carbines and light rifles often. me and my friends play without ordinances a lot. a lot of halo 3 style stuff (btw 110damage 90shields resupply and explosives makes for sweet halo 3 style play. it makes the br 4shot. so we do that with br starts and play forged maps like the pit and guardian.)
