Something that's been happening in my maps lately, that has been bugging me, has had my objects moving around without anyone touching them. I noticed this first when I broke ground on my latest map, Dockworks, which, at its foundatation, coonsists of numerous coliseum walls as the floor of the operation (ten, to be precise). I placed them with close attenition to detail, angle snapped, and exacted height, but after a few saves and friend hopping in to see what I was working on, we noticed that they had each shifted. While my friend was in there, we tried angle-snapping them to the correct positions again, but according to the settings, they were all snapped at the same angle, which should have left them all perfectly horizontal and even. Many, however, had angled slightly enough so that they were no longer even. We chalked it up to forge lag, and once my friend left, a quick selection with the angle snap on corrected all of the walls. I've had to do that a few times because of friends popping in, but it hasn't been a big deal. What I found being a big deal was that, after loading a saved version in which I had already angle-corrected everything, the walls had moved back to their slightly-off positions. That, as far as I know, had nothing to do with a friend jumping in--the walls just moved, ever so slightly. Has anyone else noticed this, and/or figured out a way to counteract the issue?
Gotcha. Forge-ghost or col walls glitching, it's irritating either way. I guess I'll just set them down when i notice them creeping back up again. Someone suggested something to me, that may seem dumb, but whatever--do they do this in the air as well? I set mine just barely in the water. I assume has nothing to do with that, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask and give that guy a chance.
Well, poop. That makes sense though, thanks for the link! I may end up just using 5x5's then, just in case.
