Do you really want to know what a plausible possibility for Halo4 to be is?

    [short excerpt]
.... By now some may be asking how this loose supplemental canon is related to the Halo trilogy and the continuing of the Halo franchise. Why would Bungie place the player - the Master Chief even - in one of these shield worlds?
The only real evidence we have at our disposal is the Legendary Ending which clearly and distinctively shows the rear-section of Forward Unto Dawn floating helplessly toward the Forerunner megastructure. Could this be a completely new installation? Something entirely different than the shield worlds described in Onyx? Absolutely. Given our lack of any supporting evidence to the contrary, however, all signs currently point to the notion that during the final events of Halo 3, the Master Chief and Cortana did not fully make it through the portal that led from the Ark to Voi. Instead, their part of the Dawn was sent near another Forerunner structure - perhaps yet another failsafe measure which we’ve already become accustomed to within Forerunner protocol.

Earlier in Halo 3, 343 Guilty Spark even admits that he originally thought the Ark was a shield world - being that they provided similar purposes: safe havens from the Array. He was proven wrong in the cartographer as both he and the Master Chief discovered that the Ark simply exists outside the galaxy’s boundaries - not outside time and space like the core room of Onyx. Even the Halo 3 Bestiarum provides an interesting assessment, indicating that the “Shields†are active, functioning properly and operational - a peculiar entry if the plan involving them had no success at all:

Could the next Halo game take place on a shield world? Will it involve the Master Chief and Cortana? Was the Legendary ending simply a lead-in to another character’s story or will the Master Chief, the Reclaimer, once again be sent to a Forerunner construct - this time to free its captives from a new menace rather than to destroy a galaxy-consuming parasite?

    First post whoooop (lol)

Im not sure tbh, if you start the mission 'halo' on LASTO then you get an secret starting and a 2nd secret ending. There are many of these stories, we will just have to wait and see

I read the whole thing and I think "Halo 4" will be somthing to do with the Forerunners because I just think it has such a rich story I did not think the terminals had such a good story.

My opinion is its almost definate(you never know what bungie is thinking tbh) that it WILL be on a shield world.
If not onyx then definately one of the others.
I hope forerunner will be in it,but definately keep MC going strong.

    [btw]
Ive posted this in similar topics and i mean it,if one more person brings up that marathon theory im setting fire to their house, its(the current and most recent one) been proven wrong alright[/btw]

What are you talking about... It's already been proven that this is false

I completely agree, also with the Terminals, they're kinda ehh. Couldn't keep me interested.

Once again, I agree. I really can not wait untill the next Halo game, hopefully anyway. Untill then we have HaloWars =D

It depends on your taste really,me and my mates(i like to get my moneys worth for books) all loved em.
There is very good storyline and great characters in my opinion and very well depicted action, also gives you a nice insight into other stuff n the halo universe.
Incidently the book would make AMAZING movies.Movies could do the action bits justice in way that words cant quite.

Well, I don't really know what to expect. All I can ask for is the same quality that Bungie gave us in this game.

This is not a theory, but I would personally love if the next game was a prequel. Like, really, really far back. You could play as a forerunner. Maybe deal with the flood, but that would get boring. I think Forerunner would be a nice twist, don't you agree?

Also, not for a game in this series, but a team-based objective game would be fun (following the Halo franchise, but a seperate story than Halo 1, 2, or 3.) Or a game where you play as an ODST. I think Halo Wars would be betters as an FPS, honestly, but I hope it turns out well.

Your not the only one :).
A few were even expecting an MMO but RTS's are okay i guess.Ill have stout competition anyway.
Tiberian sun,red alert and the fact that nine times out of ten its easier to play RTS's on comps not consoles
    :(
