You guys are awful at posting feedback! Anything on the lines of "This map has average gameplay!" is just stupid. That's like your Boss firing you from your job without telling you what you did wrong, or your teacher giving you an F on a test and not telling you what questions you got wrong. Now onto the map, Sentinel. This is the most aesthetically pleasing map I have seen in a long time. I have not seen the original map from Unreal Tournament, but judging from the video and pictures you have included in the thread, this looks like the best remake possible. You've positioned the map in front of the tower so the light shows through the gate, you've made the interlocks as clean as they get, and well, I can't say anything about gameplay because I haven't found anybody that wanted to play custom games. So I guess my feedback is a good as the next guy's, but at least I haven't said "The gameplay's bad" and not tell you why. By the way, I'm sure you get this a lot, but Sentinel's breakable in many ways. You can rocket jump, grenade jump, and jump out using the top of your friend's head. I'm sure you already know where these spots are, and I'm nowhere near my Xbox right now. So good luck with the contest! I'm not going to say this is the most likely to win, because only stupid people say that. But let's just say your chances of winning are pretty high. Great map, I hope you can fix whatever mistakes you've made in time for the contest.
Where are the effects?. i cant see a thing when i play this map. i just wanna deltet the juicy and colorblind effect.
Yes, the effects are as far away as possible, and that's because we wanted the effects to effect the inside of the map more than the outside of it. Also, i strongly suggest leaving the effects on. The light from the Guardian is way too overpowering without the effects. If you can't see anything try increasing the brightness of your screen.
How you did this I haven't a clue, when I first came upon the map I thought the pictures were lying to me. Upon actually playing the map with eight friends I found an exquisite map with lovely aesthetics and smooth floors. As I died time and time again just from standing in awe at the awesome spot where the map was placed. I finally realized that the game was going on around me and decided to see the smoothness of the game play. Now I thought that if the aesthetics were as genuinely brilliant as I could see than the game play must have been horrible, what I found was the exact opposite. The game play was great and my friends and me could not have been happier. We played 5 rounds of FFA and 5 rounds of team slayer. I could not find anything to improve or suggest. I give this map a 10/10 for its epic brilliantness, you guys did a great job and deserve everything you guys got from the contest.
i have played the map and it is absolutely amazing. the forging is out of this world. how long did it take you to make this??? keep up the ggod work and i cant wait to see what you do in halo reach. --- the forging is amazing. keep up the good work.
Wow, this is one of the best Maps ive seen in the last Days. The Interlocking is great and looks just like the Map of Unreal Tournament. Im very impressed. Of course i downloaded it and im looking forward to play it soon as i can. (Your Map-Post is very cool too) Go on forging
