"Due to the devastating landslides of 2516, this once bustling, upper-class, suburban sector of Hawea Shores has been abandoned by all civilians and turned into a military combat testing facility by the UNSC.

This is my rebuild of Turf. Another one of my favorite maps from Halo 2 (most of the maps from Halo 2 are the best of the entire series in my opinion). I've made a few changes. Most of them small, and one huge changed. I have it set up for Slayer, CTF, and Assault. I'd like to know what you guys think. Please comment good or bad. Thank you.

I agree that some downed antennas bridging the gap over the street would probably do a lot of good in respect to gameplay for those who are purists....

However, this is a great remake of a great map... the best I have seen. The back section of the map (by where the crash site would be) is a little different in respect to dimensions, but this feels very much like the Turf that all of us love!

    Great work!

People that 'try' to remake maps need to take note of what has been done with this map. excellent work, stay true to the general layout of the map, keep the main jumps/areas/chokepoints in tact while putting your own spin on it. Very well made, best remake of any map that i have seen. People need to remember that remake doesn't necessarily mean carbon copy, look what bungie did with sidewinder remake.

You did a great job with keeping the same feel as the original. I DLed this last night and was having flashbacks, so overall good job. However there were many spots in the map where I could get outside of the play area and other places where once inside the uninclosed area you couldnt get out. What you have is good man it just needs more polish work and it would be a great remake.

Wow! Thanks for the awesome comments. Totally wasn't expecting that. I do agree with all of you though. I tried my best to keep the map layout as close as possible to the original. Some of it just didn't work out like the "Downed Scarab" area (actually that's where I started and I redid it several times till I got it to a point where I could live with it). Proportion wise the garage side is off too. I even tried to get the super bounce in but I couldn't get it to work right without using lifts. Plus, there's jet-packs so I don't think it really matters. Same thing for the bridges across the "L" street. I've seen people use antennas but it didn't look right to me. It looked out of place. I want to put them in but I want to do it in a way that still fits into the environment. Any other suggestions?

Also, TIHIiINIK, which areas are you talking about so I can fix them? I thought I caught all the out of play areas with soft kills but maybe I didn't. Areas like the "Villa" above the Med-Tent I wanted to keep playable (the 2nd floor bridge and housing on the mountainside and the 3rd floor villas on the oceanside... to make up for the missing ledges).

Thanks again. If anyone else sees any issues or has any ideas on how to make this better I'm totally open to them.
Thank you all for the DL too!!!

i've always loved this map, it it looks awesome, i like the rocky/landslidey touch, one suggestion though, the original halo 2 turf was made mostly for territories and thats really fun so i would suggest supporting that game type.

Clowns do you remember where the territories were located. I lost all my dlc when I upgraded my xbox and as far as I know I can't re-download them as they are not in the marketplace.
