Hello all, I've been working on this map "Bermuda Shores" (name pending) for awhile now but have had a couple snags with scripting that has slowed my overall progress. The bulk of what I need assistance with is creating a chain event script which activates lights, fx, enables other activation switches, spawns/despawns objects and moving pieces as well as a couple of minor scripts like triggered explosions and proximity opening doors. I've been playing Halo for 14 years now but just started forging since the MCC so scripts are something I struggle with constantly. First off, the theme of the map is, as the name implies, a shipwrecked island that you and your crew have been lured into by responding to an urgent distress call from a recon unit patrolling the near by waters. Only to find the grim aftermath and now you are in the same dire situation. My intentions for the design of the map was to give the advantage to the infected by making it low visibility (night), giving them the high ground, and eliminate some of the searching for survivors by making it a funnel-like layout with 3 pathings leading to the survivor spawn area. To balance this I added easily fortified holdouts with tier 1/2 weapons but they are located on the opposite side of the map (shipwreck side) with the exception of one, the temple. It's directly where the humans spawn but I want them to travel through the map in order to access it a la a chain event script I would very much appreciate any and all help given. I'm down to evenly split prize money of course but the reward for having the map featured and possibly added to matchmaking is more what I'm after. I'm online basically everyday (Pacific Standard Time Zone) My GT is the same as username: Kwik Style (WIP) Environmental lighting subject to change
I might be able to help! I'm not perfect by any standards and it may be a learning experience but I think I can definitely get things going in a constant order haha

Always down for more helping hands and player feedback. I have a couple other maps on layaway that need small scripting sequences too. This is for my griffball mini game called "gettin sticky." Shotgun, sword, and a whole bunch of grenades
GT: Rethal Sepsis Yeah I don't know yet when I'll be able to help but I'll try Can you message me the order of things you want to occur? Like this starts this starts this, etc, with times you want (like this happens for x seconds or this happens x seconds after this) so I can plan it out on paper? I might be able to even tell you what to script without even being in-game.
I'd love to help. I like to think I know what I'm doing while scripting. If you want to tell me what you want and have me respond here that would be fine. Otherwise my GT is ExpiredEGGGNOG. And yes that is with 3 "G"s.
Added you to the convo egggnog and friended on xbox. It seems taxing when written down but i think we can figure this out. If scripting ain't your thing I'm open to hearing feedback about what needs improvement as well. Just get the map off my fileshare called V5 and lemme know your thoughts
