SAUCERLITO by SciTrekker Let's start with a few images: Overview of entire map from above and behind the Red team's initial spawn. Overview of entire map from above and behind the Blue team's initial spawn below the Flower. View of the three saucer areas that make up the second level (a.k.a., floor or tier) of the map: the Sniper, Railings, and Flower saucers (counter-clockwise starting from top-left). View of some art in tribute to the Covenant Energy Sword. For Starters: I haven't closed the book on this map yet, so I'll update the download link as I update my Halo: Reach File Share with changes to Saucerlito. Although begun as a 1v1 or 2v2 map, Saucerlito became a bit more - both in size and quality. Code-named Saucer-liscious during design and most of its development, this map turned into one that doesn't play to my strengths as a player. In fact, my playing style would make me not want to vote for this one. In addition, my BumberJumper control layout is not the best for JetPacks and this map rocks with JetPacks. Changing my control layout only makes me play worse since I'm constantly hitting the wrong button to do things, causing me to, for example, reload when I meant to melee. Nonetheless, I have found it to be fun and my JP skills are improving. Without further ado, here it is - SAUCERLITO. And now a brief description: Saucerlito is built above the Pinnacle rock and contains seven saucer-shaped areas made by combining two Dish/Dish with Hole objects for each saucer. Three of the saucers are placed about the same height in the air but not connected and make up the middle, or second tier of floating saucers (image above). One saucer makes up the top tier and has enough teleports to keep any camper perpetually turning circles. In addition to the teleports, there are two elevators - combination Man Cannon and One-way Shields (ed., thanks to the inventors and video posters of these) - one on each side of the middle saucer of the second tier. The top saucer is where one race between spawning players will occur because it's where the Rocket Launcher is located. Another will be to the Bunker on top of the second saucer making up Saucerlito's second tier because that's where the Sniper Rifle lies. To get there, one can use the double Man Cannon setup near the first tier's Ladder (ed., thanks to all those deserving of kudos for discovering how to make them and those posting a video of it), which is also where you'll find a grenade launcher on the backside and a Concussion Rifle on the other side. Another way to the Sniper Rifle, which is surrounded by Fuel Cells and Plasma Coils, is by way of the ramps that take you through the Initial Spawn areas for the Red and Purple teams. This ramp connection from the Sword Tribute saucer (image above) to the Sniper Saucer is remarkable in that players can easily traverse it up or down using the Wall Corners that provide convenient cover for those choosing the classic choice of using the ramps. The Bunker houses one Receiver Teleport and one Two-Way. Both come from the top Rocket Launcher tier - which, of course, is where the Sniper Saucer's Bunker Two-Way Teleport takes you. The bottom tier is made up of three saucers connected to make a larger play area than a single saucer. As mentioned, the lower level of Saucerlito contains a Ladder as the only way into the Shotgun room. I also have mentioned the Sword Tribute saucer, which is on the opposite end from the Ladder. Between them is the saucer with Two-Way Teleports leading to the top tier and the Rcket Launcher. You can also catch a ride up one of the two GravLifts on opposite sides of this middle section. The final saucer, the third of the middle tier, has a unique Blossoming Flower-like structure and a smaller structure of crossing-blocks embedded underneath. The Flower will be an area of great times considering it houses more than one Objective game type object - "As-Bomb," for example. Weapons: Rocket Launcher-1, Energy Sword-1, Sniper Rifle-1, Gravity Hammer-1, Concussion Rifle-1, GRenade Launcher-1, Focus Rifle-1, and a good sprinkling of Plasma Pistols, Rifles, and Repeaters, DMRs, Assualt Rifles, Magnums, Need;ers, and Needle Rifles. Grenades are also placed around the map for your killing pleasure. Try shooting one near an enemy before they can pick it up and throw it. Supported Game Types: (Team and FFA where applicable) Slayer, Assault (1-Bomb and Neutral Bomb tested), Capture the Flag (1-Flag, 2-Flag, and Multi-Flag tested), King of the Hill (incl. CrazyKing), Oddball (incl. Hot Potato), Juggernaut, Headhunter, Stockpile, Territories (incl. LandGrab tested), and Infection (incl. Safe Havens).
