Hey all, it’s Your friendly neighborhood Box in the alley, and I am putting together a weekly lobby for Saturday’s. Now these lobby’s will be Starting around 9:00 EST and going until we can’t no more. The lobby will be more on the rowdy side and will be more about the competative side of gameplay. Maps will he submitted by those in the lobby at the time. If you have a map that needs played and cannot make the lobby, you need to post it here with the link and a picture. Maps will be ones that have been tested many times and are in final stages of being done or are already complete. I repeat this is a competative Lobby. 4v4 at max. No mini games for this lobby. We are gonna go for as long as we can and get super sweaty at times so bring your A game and I’ll see you Saturday.
How about changes to the basic player game settings: speed, sprint, jump, clamber, health, damage, knockback, etc? I seriously would like people to find settings that make H5 a total blast to play. There's so much we can change but it's rarely done. Someone's gotta do this. Test current and classic styles. If you can make the H5 dev maps fun, then that's a big win. Just try it out for 2-3 games per lobby and get people thinking. Find the fun and set the new standard
I like this, and may try to join at some point.. but you said no mini-games. I assume that means mini-games that have gamplay mechanics that would feel foreign to competetive "core" halo. But, if say, someone made an older gametype that players are somewhat familiar with, is core-like, and isn't off the wall goofy, that it could be submitted? For instance, I want competitive players to take a look at my newly released Extraction gametype. (my gt is same as forum name, and there are three dev maps already outfitted with the necessary components.)
If it is to finishing standards like that then I see no problem. I just don’t want the race castle wars and other stupid stuff like that
Those settings worked better than I thought for H5 scaled maps, though if you happen to have anything made to more of a classic scale I definitely recommend giving it a try. Hope I can do more customs at some point when I am less busy.
