This is a re-imagination of the original Sapphire map from Halo 3. Sapphire's required gametypes consist of variants with configurations suited to covenant weapons - primarily the needler, plasma repeater, plasma turret - in a confined area (dubbed rave variants). Release should be before 5-25-2011; the three year anniversary to Sapphire's first publication. Subtle aesthetic changes have been made to the map since these photos' rendering.
It's great to see all the old forgers getting back into forge now that it isn't so infuriating to use. It's been awhile, but I remember playing some hectic games on this map, can't wait to be nostalgia'd.
Is that a light in the center box? That has me torn. On one hand, I think you should stick with the power ups being in there but on the other hand, it looks so bad ass!!
The corridors to the bases are much longer, and possess another shield door, however it only envelops half of the corridor. More Screenshots: Don't mind the shield door in the picture. It isn't there anymore due to budget constraints and frame rate lag. If you look left of the shield door, you can make out the glow from the gravity lift. That cavity is where players teleport from the bases. I'm still making a load of changes to the current build. I want it to be just as fun as the previous, but feature a somewhat larger volume for larger parties and FFA. Give me suggestions!
Theyre color coded for red base and blue base. Theyre not on the map anymore anyways, due to framerate issues. I should upload more up to date pictures hahah.
Whaaa? If you're asking if it was the same map as the original Halo 3 variant; then yes it is, which is why I want it. Can't wait for it to be done so I can play it!
