[highlight]Sanitarium[/highlight] Thought to have once been an ancient Forerunner health clinic, this structure now serves a quite different purpose... This is a small asymmetrical map me (CreepingDeath2I) and Spezhl Bob 415 designed together. It is loosely based off of Lockout/Guardian and plays like maps of that size. -This map is best suited for 4-8 player Slayer, Assault and Capture the Flag gametypes; specifically one-sided objective games. However, like Lockout or Guardian you can play with as many as you want, it just might get ridiculous. -In a one-sided Assault/CTF game the attackers start off at blue base and the defenders start off at red base. *It is best to set something like a 3-5 sec return on the flag for this map.* -Weapons/Equipment: 10 BR's 2 SMG's 3 Spikers 3 Magnums 2 Plasma Pistols 2 Plasma Rifles 1 Needler 1 Brute Shot 1 Sword 2 Carbines 2 Maulers 6 Frag Grenades 8 Plasma Grenades 2 Firebomb Grenades (Yeah!) 1 Power Drain 1 Bubble Shield (Too many maps don't have enough weapons on them, so I figured we should give you some variety to choose from. This map has been tested and I have fixed the problems with regard to weapons. This is awsome. The interlocking is very smooth and it looks like gameplay is smooth and enjoyable. Good job!
Amazing! Daaaaaaannnnnnnggggg. You got mad forge skills right there bro. But on pic 5, dont you think the nades could slip under the arches? IDK, thats just my 2 cents. I would love to see more tho!
I appreciate the positive feedback so far, and crispychicken grenades could slip under those arches I guess, but it shouldn't be a huge issue.
Holy hell, did you do any testing? There's a tar load of weapons on the map. Allow me to be stereotypical forgehub member or in other words 90% of you. *Clears throat* Wow! I really like the forging here, it looks like you put a lot of work into it, because the aesthetics are just awesome! I can also see that you did lots of testing! I remember playing this the other day, it was really good! Anyways, this is really good! Keep it up!
Lololololololol, so true. But yeah I did do testing on this map. Power weapons are the only weapons that people complain about apparently and I moved/removed some of them accordingly.
this is a really well forged map i like how its a map i guess if i put anything else ill be written up for spam, looks pretty well made and smooth and METALLICA FTW
I just downloaded it. I'll test it once my brother brings back my xbox. But from the pictures I think it looks like a good map, the forging looks really clean and the layout is interesting, the only problem is the MASSIVE weapons list. The first problem is 10 BR's. NO map should have more then 8 and even that's pushing it, especially since this map isn't massive, 4-6 would probably work better on it. Secondly 3 grenade types tend to cause problems would grenade spamming. I'd cut it down to 6 plasma and 8 frag, mainly because when you have more plasma then frag people tend to complain of "cheap shots" This is just a suggestion, and I'll give better feedback if I ever get a chance to give a complete test of it. But this is the weapon list I would've used. 5 BR's 2 SMG's 2 Spikers 2 Magnums 1 Assault Rifles 2 Plasma Rifles 1 Brute Shot 1 Sword 2 Carbines 2 Maulers 8 Frag Grenades 6 Firebomb Grenades 1 Power Drain 1 Bubble Shield You'd still have 20 weapons on the map, 14 grenade spawns and the two equipment were fine. Judging from the pictures, the size of the map should make finding 1/20 weapons easy and quick. No need to have weapons at every corner. So that's all I can say until I play it which should be Sunday, hopefully.
I think a few deployable gravlifts to access the beams above would give this a more three dimentional feel.
This map was very fun, i even think you could make an EM ELL JEE (MLG) variant, and I'm really glad you got rid of all those brute shots, i think 1 brute shot suits this map well. And btw you can never have too many Br's, and any BK that disagrees can go play some more social.
Btw, pyro666 you can grenade jump up to the top of the red columns, you don't really get any more of an advantage up there though. I never really thought of making an mlg version, but what would I have to do to make it like an mlg map?
Making that area more acessable would turn it from simple asthetics to a playable part of the map. And most people would have great difficulty grenade jumping up there. Even a small block to jump from would help.
I might consider putting down something that would allow you to get to the top of the columns in a v2 of this map, i still don't know if I like that idea.

This map had a close range feel to it. There was little to the mid-range field of battle that goes so well with BR's. That's not necessarily a bad thing. One bad thing is that there's a firebomb. They're... interesting.
I definitely wanted the map to have a close range feel while still appeasing all those br users out there. The firebomb was an experiment, but it is definitely fun.
I remember testing this. It seems as if you made some great changes! Although, I'll have to test this new version for myself. Edit: Just noticed my reconz. You had to take the one with the sticky.
