Not willing to read every page back, lol, but anyone taken note how there's no annoying edges to the tunnels now, like the Open Boxes we've been using? I think that's going to be a great help when your making a tunneley area. No longer do you have to geomerge it backwards to get rid of that area (most of it at least), you can have a taller tunnel without worry of it catching nades. I like all these little things...can't wait.
If you don't want to see the lights all you have to do is interlock them with something. If you look at the picture posted by Sweeny, the lights are under the playing surface of that map but the light still show up above.
I was thinking about that too, and I'm really stoked. I've been thinking of making a map similar to Tunnel Raid, but way longer and better (hopefully lol).
How about being able to make tunnels that diverge/come together and turn without having to use walls that break up the look?
Absolutely the first thing I'm going to make is a space ship way above Sandbox on the upper tier. Then, there'll be a teleporter to get down into the lower level, but at the highest point. At the highest point of the lower level, there will be a drop pod room. With holes. So you can drop down into the lower level. Like a space ship dropping drop pods. Also, here's a thought: A mechanism way up high that drops weapons/vehicles down by activating a switch.
On the switch discussion, bungie failed for the switch community. Only about 4 movable objects none of which can be used very well for doors or elevators (Im not counting the golf stuff). Im stoked about everything else though, its only the lack of movable objects that sucks, everthing else is win times 10.
My exact complaint, about the only thing decent is a shitty drawbridge with radio antennas, unless tin cups are movable and could be used in elevators but I doubt it.
There's fusion coils, pallets, grav lifts... what do you mean no switch items...do you mean novel ones?
That is awfully limited though. We have no crates, dumpsters, propane tanks, and numerous other things. Primarily we don't have anything to make a good door (which I use the most of anything).
no crates...nooooooooo I dont care about the other things...but crates were my babies...now my zombie map is ruined...RUINED.
Those are great for the mechanism part of the switch but there is nothing for doors or elevators or most other things, so basicly we can build half of a switch. How are crates and dumpsters novel, jw?? Does anyone know anythign about these transport hornets?
novel= new transport hornets are the ones from avalanche. normal hornets are the ones found on pre-DLC maps.
May I add barrels? Some interesting switches I have seen developed that involved the vibration of a chain of barrels... also Buddhacrane must be dying to not have any of these nice useful tools...
We can still use pallets for "wires", but thats pointless anyways because after that their is nothing useful for it to do. Not to add but my barrelvator is now impossible on sandbox. Buddhacrane isn't the only one dying. Good look making that into a good door.
yeah that would be awesome to switch things like that.... but we donet know exactly which objects are immovable yet so dont be sad just yet. who knows maybe blocks are immovable. noone can say if they sre or not yet so just be patient
