(He's talking about breaking the OLN limit thingy) well there isn't really anything you can break. Bungie said themselves that if you just use the default items without deleting them you get maximum OLN/Budget.
what do you mean by door-type object? you should be able to geomerge with any solid object to push you though to underneath the map; unless they make an impossible death barrier, that is.
i thought you geo-merge into the ground by surrounding the object with tele's then "melding" a door in then holding the object surrounded by tele's which would cause the object to push into the ground.
thats the newer, quicker style. as long a there are immovable objects, merging is possible. go read up on yer forging 101s merging has been around far before people learned the door method
Perhaps i need to read up some more on geomerging. this is the first i've heard about the teleporter method. lol.
I have a question that I don't think has been brought up before. If you add a new object to Sandbox (non-default) then delete it, will it still be permanently counted towards the OLN or just the default items?
You could also just do the start new round interlocking method to interlock an object to push your box into the floor. Doors are simply the method of choice because you don't have to start new round every time you want to go a little further.
So, judging from yesterdays update, if we buy Halo Wars LE we don't have to re-buy the DLC from the Market Place later?
^ Correct =] Well, I'm very excited, and now I just have to decide whether I want to cough up the dough to buy the LE. Monday will be the deciding factor for me, when IGN, I believe, does their in depth analysis on Sandbox. =D
Does anybody care about my object analysis that I made? (like 3 pages back) It's better to actually discuss Sandbox than to just mindlessly talk about what you're gona make or how this makes you feel. I honestly don't care (lol), I'd rather hear about Sandbox items and at least be able to think up map ideas from the given items in the pics.
No, that subject has yet to be touched upon. /sarcasm Moving on, anyone have a list of all the different items they can see in the pics? Maybe someone should start that and the rest of us can add to it.
I made this 5 pages ago: So here's a list of what we know: LIST: Scenery: Antenna Crate (semi-unknown) Kill Ball Barrier Window Bunker Walls (with small window) Small Ramp Medium Ramp (mini avalanche ramp) Large Ramp Medium Ramp with Undercurve (thin) Large Ramp with Undercurve (thin) Single Open Tunnel (semi-unknown) Small Block (Red) Small Block (Blue) Single Block with Corner Cut Off Single Block Double Block Double Block Cut in Half (Hotdog Style) Overshield Small Rectangular Block Pyramid Top Corner Pyramid Base Large Corner Pyramid Base Large Side Pyramid Base Corner Pyramid Base (with half tunnel) Gate/Door (unknown) Doors of Different Sizes (sizes unknown) Scaffolding/Tower Base Wooden Board Odd-Shaped Pillar Wall Corner Single Wall Double Wall Man Cannon Teleporters: Sender Node/Two Way Node (unknown) Equipment: Plasma Grenades Reg. Grenades Bubble Shield Weapons: Battle Rifle Assault Rifle Needler Spiker Brute Shot Rockets Spartan Laser Sniper Rifle Vehicles: Mongoose Warthog Chopper Tank Hornet Other: Light Filters Filter Effects This is all I can see in these two pics and what I remember from others. EDIT: I looked through all of the Sandbox pictures and found some more.
Your possible door/gate looks like an open box thing to me. And your windows/bunker wall with actual window are the walls that make up the proper door sized hole when put together. They are just turned on their side to make the windows. Or at least that is what it looks like to me. The scaffolding is the tower base from Ghost town and the Pathway is just an aesthetic feature bungie put there to visually divide the map in half. It's in the exact same spot in every picture it's not a forge item. I also don't see a large pyramid base with tunnels but I have seen quarter sections of pyramid that when put together make a room with four entrances like the smaller structures on Sandtrap. Like the one where the rocket pod is on the side of the map opposite the downed pelican.
Okay, thanks Waylander. I edited the post. I'm also adding more weapons and things. If you find anything just tell me or add it.
Adding to ER1CO's analysis: Looking at this screenshot. Its the same map that he looked at, different view. That piece that he labelled scaffolding has an interesting looking object under it. If there are tunnels that go underground, do you think this could be one of them?
