I think it would be cool to have a contest to see what people can make the first day sandbox is released. The deadline could either be midnight the day of it's release, or 24 hours after the map's release. This would help people get used to the map. People need to have fun and just forge initially, not sit down and start a month-long project the day Sandbox is released. What do you think?
This is a bad idea, because it encourages the flooding of the forums with bad maps of Sandbox. Forging should take time, lots of time, and just because a map is new doesn't mean you should forge the fastest you can.
Agreed people will make maps as soon as possible and they will try to be the first one to post it. It will probably turn out very bad since the time taken to put it together is about 5 minutes. As previously stated, its not that great of an idea. People can just get together and experiment and before you know it people are inventing and posting new forging techniques
I can see where you're coming from, but for me there's always something about that first map(in other games and in foundry) that just feels good. That may just be me, though
More than likely be me or Ivory Snake that would win anyway. 5 extra days to work on the maps lol And Sweeny, click the link in my signature.
